why do we have the light snow over us again been like this all day heavier stuff keeps going round us
too far west like me, the other day i was too far east, sods law, not a bad covering here but i would like to watch some heavy snow fall, and its stopped now

GFS goes for widespread 5cm tomorrow and 10+ cm over the east of the area! Then tues afternoon it's the turn of the west again with western bucks getting 5cm +
and bedford hopefully i didn't do to well yesterday, northampton done much better

Just over the border into the East Midlands, here in Rushden is turning into quite a significant event. Approaching 10cm and some drifts in the back garden over a foot!
Glad I left work at 12.30, and picked my son up from nursery in Melchborne (north Beds) on the way home from Bedford - the minor roads were starting to get tricky then.There wasn't much snow in Bedford when I left (maybes only 1cm), but got thicker as I went north. Don't know what its like in Bedford now, but here in Rushden, its quite special. Glad i'm home!

Snowing hard here, heaviest so far. Footprints filled in from when I popped out 20 mins ago!

Pepped up a bit here neat Luton airport! The front seems very slow moving and is getting sheared on its edge. Think it will fizzle out in the end. Any ideas how long it will last??
supposed to last for about another 12 hours i think but i doubt it will, just a dusting here so far

that band of snow is gonna end up stalling in the west midlands on friday, so they get pasted and we stay cold and dry zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
our next shot comes next monday, only 6 days to wait what can possibly go wrong

funny how we all get excited about an inch or two of snow, a lot of people got nothing or a dusting, they would laugh their heads of in other countries at us, even algeria and Jerusalem do better for snow than us at times
just a pathetic dusting here by the way, no need for you guys in wales or the west to be jealous of me

Forecast from Bedford Borough Council Winter web site who are doing two salting runs within the space of four hours
From 1200 rain and sleet will turn increasingly to snow, heavy at times later this afternoon, clearing by around 1800. This will leave cold and clear air with dry conditions lasting until 2200. From 2200, heavy and persistent snow returns from the north. This snow continues through the night, easing off to become showery from 0500. Scattered snow showers continue through the morning.

i feel sorry for you, but not all of us further north and east of you got snow, all i got today was a horrible slushy mess, what a let down, im not a happy chappyWhy do the south east, east coast and north keep having snow events but nothing for the southwest, we had a very few flurries last night!
So much for the SSW....if this is how it's going to be all winter than i'd rather it just be weather coming in from the atlantic to chuck a few gales our way...Rather than this cold (but not cold enough for snow) weather and rain!

I had a feeling that was the case as its become thick and heavy. I guess the wrap around will be a bit of a none event for place outside pebo, and slightly west
dam im too far west then, bbc graphics had snow for me from the wrap around
