This is where I’m at. I don’t like any of the changes. If it’s not broke don’t fix it - seems to be one of the hardest concepts to follow in the modern age.
So we shouldn't attempt to make things look better or improve them because "it's not broke"? Going by this logic, the site would still look like this:

You seem to take anomalies too seriously. The GFS and other ensembles are hinting for high pressure and warmer air at the end of July and start of August, which is when the professionals (Tamara I believe is one) here are stating a change. These charts update daily, and may not notice the changes until the next day or two when certainty rises.
Nonsense. The latest long-term outlook by the Met Office (and other credible forecasters) is depressing. We're almost guaranteed to be stuck with low pressure until at least the end of the month, unless you're talking about another country that is?

Yeah there's been a few nice visuals, albeit nothing spectacular.
For those interested, here is a map showing every recorded lightning strike in the region over the last 30 days.

Really am getting tired of this month now. Barely any sunshine to speak of, and not a single thunderstorm (which is in contrast to most areas of the Midlands). Bring on August for crying out loud!

Bottom of the barrel kind-of 'summer' weather today, akin to what you'd expect in November.

Going to be a very lively night AGAIN
Not seeing anything exceptional in the forecast, perhaps a few thundershowers?

Absoletely torrential rain heading up into South Warwickshire now , more thunder forecast for 9PM in Leamington Spa

Don't think there's any energy left for thunderstorms today.

yea Shropshire, Cheshire and Worcestershire missed out on most of it.
Worcestershire didn't do too badly, fair bit of activity in Redditch earlier and Worcester recently. Looks like South Warwickshire and North Staffordshire did the worst in the region.

A really poor show here today considering the warnings. Oh well, at least the rest of the week looks to be sunny and warm.

Gloomy (again) despite forecasted sun this afternoon

Snow flurry here as well that isn't showing on the radar.

Still snowing here amazingly, but I do feel a little bad for those further north that haven't been as lucky today with the snow stalling.

The argument that some people here have against climate change doesn't really make sense. Just because a heatwave in a particular location hasn't been the most severe in history, doesn't mean that on a global scale temperatures haven't increased.
Having said that, I do think heat warnings are being issued unnecessarily at times, and consequently people may end up taking them less seriously. For instance, in Greece they issued a "red heat warning" in the Ionian Islands where temperatures are only slightly higher than normal.
