  1. Wonderful model runs tonight, only last week some folk were writing summer off and proclaiming it to be the worst June ever?
  2. Good to see that we are plume chasing in here! What are everyone's thoughts on the mid term prospects, i.e heading into July?!
  3. This is the stuff of dreams, the South coast sure is the place to be for night time storms in the UK, very jealous i wont lie! but happy for you guys who have got the first proper storms of 2019!!
  4. Some epic footage coming in from Eastbourne/Sussex Well done all, looks like a proper beast of a storm
  5. Some kind soul just switched most of the pier lights off as well so we get a better view! Still around 100 Strikes P/M on that bit over Eastbourne, must be quite a show
  6. Well then folks, our first proper thunderstorm event of 2019 may be upon us! Good to see a MDT from ConvectiveWeather, along with support from Tony Gilbert over on UKWW. Picked a few of the precip runs out below, not to be taken literally of course!! Its clear that this will be a very uncertain situation! Euro4 has showers breaking out way far West on Tues evening Followed by storms moving into C/S England early Wed morning Arome has a huge mass of precip moving into S England just after dark Followed by another round for the far SE going into Wed morning Netweather SR has storms moving NE over London and into EA through Tues afternoon Followed by a Kent Clipper scenario for the evening/night So a pretty big variance at this stage, best advice for tomorrow would be load up the radar and hope for the best!
  7. Not sure if this one has already been mentioned.. When i have the radar open, and switch to another tab, it refreshes itself in the background to a future image, rather than refreshing to the latest image like the V7 does
  8. Couple of heavy showers moved through here, no T+L but some nice cloudscapes
  9. Nobody can write summer off yet, its the 12th of June, we've obviously been spoiled by the last 2 Junes being so good. Wait until July or August to even make that call..
  10. Follow these charts at your own peril, 9 days out they are very unlikely to materialise, and as Mr Pantz has stated, this GFS run is on its own with these kind of scenarios tonight A change of pattern may be coming but don't expect charts like this to verify
  11. Has anyone else totally written June off and is now just hoping for an improved July?
  12. Whenever we have a rain event like this, it always reminds me of how incredible June 2007 was. We've had pretty substantial rainfall here for the last 24+ hours, but look at the Rother in Chesterfield, barely even above normal level, compared to the truly insane level of 3.35m on June 25th 2007
  13. Pretty big accumulations being shown on EURO4, expect another Amber Warning may soon be issued by UKMO
  14. Looks like a nice little storm to my east, heading directly for you @Swansonson69
  15. Some pretty concerning rainfall totals being shown for the upcoming week
  16. Well for the first time i can ever remember, we have 4 consecutive days of UKMO Yellow warnings for rain
  17. Cmon mate, be a nice fella and reveal this mystical model to us peasants
