  1. Probably because it's basically backed the GFS in regards to the northerly. But great potential for an Easterly though.
  2. It develops in just 6 days time though which is the good thing
  3. It's got potential, but no one would be happy at that point with cold rain.
  4. So what do people think the chances of snow on Thursday-Saturday are?
  5. I was talking about Saturday, not sure why you deleted the 2nd chart out of my quote...
  6. The GFS has just one very cold day on Friday, then high pressure builds in on Saturday, with much milder uppers coming in. With the Met Office seemingly backing the GFS then this is worrying. All this fuss over one day will seem very over the top, especially given snow doesn't look that widespread at the moment. Let's hope the ECM is right with it's 3 day arctic blast.
  7. We have 3 days with -8 uppers at least for most of us, how is that a day blast exactly?
  8. ECM is not backing down! very cold on Saturday, with -8's covering the whole of the UK, and -12's even -14's for parts of Scotland!!
  9. If the GFS is correct it will be rather embarrassing for the Met Office after them saying there will be a strong arctic blast!
  10. The precipitation charts are useless before 24 hours out, so why would anyone worry about what they show now?
  11. Comparison between the big three at 96 hours Given this is the UKMO and ECM 00z.
  12. Continuation? The GFS 06z extended the cold snap from the 00z, now the 12z has shortened it, no continuation there.
  13. Still -8 and -6 uppers for Northern UK at day 10, with -10's still for parts of Northern Scotland.
  14. Much better GFS, the cold spell is extended on the 6z!! Still got -4 uppers, with -6 uppers for the west at the end of the run, the cold never really leaves
