Oh my word. Looking at mettoffice forecast my neck of the woods is gonna get a serious pasting.
I reckon we could see 2010 amounts on Monday /Tuesday.

It’s too early to know how much snow will fall but I’d be surprised if most of our region don’t get several inches even where we are in the western parts, the strong wind will blow the showers well inland, that’s if it settles, the met office don’t seem confident it seems of that now, despite 850hpa of around -15c and sub zero dew points, could be just a poor worded forecast hopefully!
Ok I understand. Yeah I got that impression from the metoffice forecast

Looking at the weather forecasts I genuinely can't see what the hype is??
Am I missing something?
No One else I know seems to care much about the weather next week?
It's gonna be slightly chilly with very light snow.

No, in a word. Light to moderate wet snow and intermittent sleet.
Ok thanks. I'm hoping as the temp drops it turns to snow.

How is it in Crawley?
BBC and metoffice saying heavy snow from 9-4 today.
Is it materialising?

There is going to be a very sharp temperature gradient tomorrow. Just up the road could be barely above freezing.
Interesting.
For tonight we have got a lot of heavy rain. On BBC it is saying the temp will be zero at 11pm and then it will warm to 4 degrees by 5 am.
I am hoping that is wrong and it doesn't warm up. Would love to wake up in the morning and see settled snow.
