May not be cold enough for Snow now but Met office are saying that it will get colder(from 25th) possibly chance of Snow showers.
Fingers crossed.
I would take that will a large pinch of salt, 15 days away is fantasy island territory and all sorts could happen between now and then. Longer range forecasts are ok if you are looking for possible trends but thats it really.

I'm happy that its finally dry here! Garden is like a boggy lake and the lane down the hill is flooded again.

Temp now at 5.2c, dp 4.9c Everything completely saturated, basically continuous rain of varying intensity.
-
Well its all a bit blerrrgghh out today. Gert big puddles all starting to join together, fields saturated and everything is just a big soggy, muddy mess. If we do get a dry spell and any official or expert mentions the word drought, i am highly likely to commit murder. Temp here is 6.4c dp 4.9c. P.S yes I have changed my username, cirrostratus just seemed a bit pretentious.

Will March do.
I'll hold on until march as long as i get a long dry warm spring and summer. Deal?

I'd like to put in a request for some dry weather please.

Is this Dutch Ryan guy in the MOD thread the new Yamkin or something?
He loves a good ol' ramp don't he. Fair play to him too, nice to have some passion and happiness in there!
Am I the only one who reads his posts in a Dutch accent?

I sense an army of netweather snow activists accompanied by some motorway destroying tools descending along the M4 this weekend.
I said a month or so back that we ought to dig up the M4 and lay it back down along the bottom of the country.

Yellow warning for snow in Cornwall? I am not seeing it!!!
I wouldn't read too much into it. I'm under the yellow warning but am forecasted to get rain and maybe sleet. The warning is put there I think to make you aware that there is a possibility of a change in the forecast and you could get snow, basically covering all options.
Well according to the radar should of been raining a couple of hours ago. A lot of evaporation going on above our heads out in the East of the region as still bone dry here.
We have had light rain here a bit further south from you.

Cold, drizzly and windy Currently trying to gee myself up to taking the dogs out for a walk across the fields, my old lab doesn't care if she goes out or not but my spaniel with adhd does and will sit next to me staring and whining until i give in.
I think snowfall in recent years has raised expectations, just remember whilst you are whinging about the lack of snow that I didn't see proper snowfall for 12 years, just the occasional dusting. So the moral of the story is not to expect it but enjoy it if it happens

4 years ago today I got married on a very snowy Friday
Happy Anniversary Blizzardof82 and Mrs Blizzardof82.

We seemed to be in a bit of a precipitation hotspot today. A couple of cracking hail showers that left a white covering. Everything was white for a few hours before finally melting. Also had graupel and sleety/snow. According to my husband the hail this morning was on the soft side and more like snow so he christened it 'snail'. It was actually hail but its easier to humour him.

Warm and dry please followed by a warm dry Summer
-
Hazy sun and reasonably calm out today which is good as I've just waved off my husband and 2 youngest children who are going to a hockey match where my husband shall be participating dressed as a tiger, like you do. They were worried earlier in the week about a frozen snowy pitch. Temp 4.6c and hopefully will feel warmer when I go out with the dogs in a mo.

Its been p.. p... p... pi... pi... er.... piddling it down here this evening with the wind whipping around the house. A bit exposed to the elements here. Any signs of anything drier in the models? I haven't checked for a couple of days.

*Stands up*
I am a sun lover, I love the thrill of forecasting snow, I love to make snowmen, I love having a snowball fight, but in the short term only. My ideal weather is loads of snow, a quick thaw and then sunshine. I'm not a coldie, I'm a hottie.
On a sunny day I sit in the garden, drink wine and worship the sun, even if I need to wear layers to do so. My SAD box is my life save. I hate going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark. I LOVE sunshine. If snow is on the ground and the sun is shining then I am happy.
I am planning on Lanzarote in 2 weeks time, I need sunshine.
There, I have admitted it!
I hear ya girl!! I 'came out' on here a little while ago as a summer person, don't mind a bit of snow but I yearn for sun and warmth. Hope we don't get stoned by the coldies

I've now worked out how to share photos, so better late than never a few pics from last Friday.

Haven't seen our fieldfares and redwings recently, perhaps they have moved on but we have lots of lapwings about. I'd like to post pictures that I have taken but apparently my files are too big with the limit being 4mb. I'm not technically intelligent enough to know what to do, any ideas?

Looking at the radar it should start raining here shortly.
-
Well its snowing here and if it snows here then theres a very good chance that the rest of this region will see something wintery!
-
I've just seen dandruff falling from the sky.

It might well happen but just see how things develop and even a few days away can be hit and miss especially when it comes to forecasting snow, sometimes it comes down to nowcasting!
