Well don't Knw quite what everyone's talking about. Some people providing wrong info! The ukmo end of week fantastic for snow! Abd the met office updates also fantastic for snow! Massive long term upgrade there!

Complete non event here!! North leeds 150m which is high! Snowing but not laying at all. So much for 10cm! Look east tonight as usual!!

Why do the met office do this!! Really annoys me! The amber warning will not affect anyone west of York will it. There just covering themselves westwards! The itv calendar forecast as shabby as always said high ground to the east of region! Typical as u guys will get sniw showers later in week too as we're stuck with nothing in north leeds.. Same old.

Funny that since the ensembles have come out so have the armchairs knocking everything dwn and generally trying to spoil the thread and excitement in it. Fantastic output- if only. Just goes to show what happens if heights go north but not so if the ecm verifies which I bet it still does!!

Guys can anyone help me out here or am I just kicking myself for no reason. Why are all the anomalies and signals showing heights towards Greenland but the ecm going against it?? If the anomalies and signals were showing mild you can bet your bottom dollar that the charts would all show that.....??

Well I don't quite know what to say really. Sigh. The gfs has masses of potential and wouldn't it just be lovely if that came off!! I do though however worry and unlike yesterday eve my guy feeling is that of Ian's in respect of the ecm being most probable (typical
) I simply just can't see how the gfs can thrust heights northwards without a low or shortwave pushing through ala ecm!It is however even more frustrating though because all background signals bar the NAO go more or less with Greenland heights which the ecm goes against. Why this is the case seemingly yet again! The other day the ecm showed two runs of very cold conditions n then rapidly changed back to mild. I bet the same opposite first happen here! If the ecm comes out right I think we will be stuck in this pattern for weeks. Regardless of the SSW.
