Ian browns input has been fantastic but before he was ramping it up somewhat, now it looks as though to him and me that the Azores is still a problem and that jan will just be high pressure over us and cold moving into Europe. Same old. So much for my excitement and the SSW. Anyway fancy Lapland next year...??? So frustrated!

Guys why do we always get knocked down. All Europe, there is nothing exciting or potential in the charts IMO while that Azores high just sits there! It's typical. Where have our potential epic charts gone!!

I know about weather in much detail but I can't get my head around what has gone so terribly wrong with the models...??? Why does this seem to always happen with us? It can't just be the Atlantic. Could anyone help to explain. It's extremely frustrating to see the models waste/ruin half the season.

It is zonal, although of a colder variety. The weather will be Atlantic driven, that to me is zonal.
Chiono mentioned a possible SSW in around ten days, it can then take a further 21 days to impact us, if at all.
That takes us to mid January.
Fully agree!! Everyone saying how good it is with the pv here n there, well I disagree. It might as well be in Greenland because the foreseeable is zonal garbage of some type. Dare we say that this winter is going to be one of those....

Not really. I do not see anything right now. Hope the charts show cold/ snow but believe me you, this December Is looking like little! We had such a great opportunity and then the models dropped it.

Please for once can we have something spectacular models!! We never seem to achieve it and just get let dwn. Plz ecm ulmo gfs bring it to us. I Dnt believe in trends- we keep seeing them and they Dnt materialise!! Am sat on fence tonight....

Well according to bbc1 weather forecast at 1.30, uncle Gibbs said snowfall giving a covering in 'major conurbations in the north of England' too. So tht must mean Manchester n leeds because there is isn't any major cities between here n newc.

Look north forecast just now 7/8c in leeds! The temp is now 3.4c. Way way way off.

Well both met office and bbc failed today with there predicted temps of 7c here in leeds. It currently only 4.1c at 150m NE leeds. Then again they also failed on the snow predictions for last night too.

Everything in the models is constantly so far away. Never closer. Doesn't matter if the signals are in place because you need the snow n cold to make it worth while. The Scottish mountains as per 06z will do well in most situations regardless.

Well why would the pros big it up a few days ago with potential n then knock it dwn when the potential does occur. Makes no sense.
