I have to agree with you 100% its been awful here i went for walk to beach and it felt more like march not june the wind was so cold felt like it was only about 10 or 11c its a jokeGod this country never ceases to amaze me. Not only have we just had an abysmal winter but now we have a uneventful summer too. Even when we get high pressure, the only parts of the country which actually benefit from it are the west of the country while the rest have to be content with cloudy cool monotonous days. I know it is early days for the summer but realistically we only have another 3 months of summer left before we head into Autumn. If we have a rubbish summer of pathetic 'highs' like the one we have now followed by a winter like last year, i think that will finish me off.

I totally agree with you there frosty but knowing our luck here in blighty when we all give up on wintery weather it will all change to the perfect winter sypnotics to little to lateLet's not get sucked into thinking the second half of march will be cold and unsettled, just remember how the models have teased coldies for the last 3 months and we haven't had a cold spell or even a proper cold snap. The intensifying anticyclone next week could stick around for a fair while.

I think there is a huge difference between a few cm's of snow and a few degrees below freezing and storms rivers bursting banks flooding peoples homes and plunged into darkness for days mateSo its bad to have your lives disrupted by rain & floods but its OK to have your lives disrupted by snow & cold. I'd rather have a few puddles than dangerous ice thanks very much

I think some just do it to wind up those who want some cold and snow they wouldnt like it if there xmas was ruined by floods believe meA few more candidates for the ignor button me thinks, can't believe people are liking comments from ian f talking about heavy rain and the potential for more flooding, really what's to like about that?

I feel sorry for those in flooded areas i really do if we got some colder weather nice crisp sunny days would of helped a lot of people clearing up mild atlantic weather is not going to help any amount of rain will cause more flooding
-
Even my other half who hates snow said to me earlier "whens the cold and snow coming im sick of this wind and rain" i'm slowly converting her to my way of thinking even she likes those cold sunny ice days now hehe

The south east could take a proper pasting tonight, 60mph gusts far inland, potential for 90mph+ in some coastal areas. I wouldn't venture out unless it's completely necessary, expect disruption from power cuts/trees coming down/damage to buildings. Stay safe tonight!
