Is there anything forecast for the Sussex coast tonight? Everything has been north of here today so could really do with some rain down here.

I’m currently out under that cell Near East Grinstead basically 0 CG lightning bolts mostly in the clouds
-
Bit worried about that train of storms in the channel whoever gets a direct hit from that could get some serious issues with flooding.

I’m definitely fingers crossed sat on the beach in front of it, the bubbling to the back is amazing and I wish my camera was better

That cell coming off France looks like it’s just going to clip Dungeness if it keep the same track and intensity

Yh the Meto charts and UKV are abysmal today. The UKV Frame at 2pm shows widespread storms, it really is garbage in these set-ups
Patience is the key and there is no reason it should not fire
Little Capping further north, engaging trough, cloud has dispersed - Cant really see why anything would not pop, one thing to watch near the Lincs coast would be sea breeze convergence as well around the Hull area and north of the Wash which is becoming apparant as well
Looking north from my location I can see tower in the distance going up

If that lot survives the trip that is, as others have said the plume not expected to move in until the early hours so the 2nd batch could be the ones, its a watch the radar for the next 45 minutes jobby atm
Btw we must have our own Microclimate in the Cone, its 19c here and decidedly chilly in the easterly breeze, 15c dewpoint mind you
Yes will be keeping an eye on the radar. Can report that the weather is an little bit more primed here in Sussex. I’m sweating just sitting down atm

@Paul Sherman what time do you think that stuff leaving France will get to the Sussex coast as seems like it will be earlier than forecast

Can we make it to July 25th - Still quietly confident lol
I shall not be taking any chances and will be out and about in the early hours favouring the Channel Coast somewhere in Hampshire I would think
Paul I’m thinking of getting up at 3:30 tomorrow morning and driving down to Selsey just hope it will be worth it
