This band better not decay bet it gets here that would be a kick in the teeth. As we had snow for 15 mins which has given a dusting but has now stopped the band looked so promising when it was heading here. Also radar does seem a bit iffy as it shows precipitation right over but I’m dry

Just had a good 15 mins of snow but now stopped

Looks like this band is going to give a decent dumping. Looks like It’s intensity has been underestimated. Got friends near bath who have 4 inches and it only snowed there for an hour. Looks like our area is going to do well and give snow for an good couple of hours

For me 1-2 hours of probably of wet snow between 9-10 am followed by a wait for the fading occlusion to drift south and then minimal. Met office app suggests sleet only too. Normally the worst case scenario is the real scenario in expected snowfalls. Probably get more on Monday when not mentioned
Looks like we are both going to miss out again. Why is it so hard for our area to get zone when places just to our north and east have seen snow. Eastbound has even had snow down to the beach this winter.

Back to sleet here got a slushy covering on the cars which is already melting. Need some heavier precipitation pronto

Finally getting snow here settling on the cars

@chionomaniac what’s your thinking for our area tomorrow will we finally get a covering?

Where has @Steve Murr gone I’m sure he will be quit happy with the way the models have gone over the last 12hrs.

If you look close enough on the first snow map there’s a tiny patch of white in the SE. Anyone like to guess where I live?
Yep just down the road from me has been tough for us to get any decent snow for where we live for the last few years

Chaps this period is going to be v tricky for the ops to follow even more so for the ensembles. It is all about weather that low separates. We all know that the gfs can be pretty poor at modelling split energy so just keep toys in Parma until all models can agree on how the energy spits. I’m sure @nick sussex will back me up about the comments of gfs being poor about splitting energy.

What happened to @Steve Murr? Good charts this evening.

How much of a shift west on the front later in the week do we need for Sussex to get a chance of seeing snow?

No just sleet here

Hmm have seen a couple of snowflakes this morning but the dam precipitation loses intensity by the time it gets here. Would have a good covering if it was heavy enough

Every app I have says it’s snowing here in Crowborough. I can confirm it is not snowing. It’s not even raining.
Just down the road from you quote me when you see snow as next village in line after you lol.
