Yes high ground only
Even today there has been a slight reduction in uppers > may be 200M now not 150M
That’s depressing for our snow starved part of the world.

I always look for a flow between NE and ENE for me. Also need strong temperature differences and lower heights to ensure they reach me
Looks like they will reach both of our locations @chionomaniac

Good Morning
Still keeping 1 eye on the PPNAnyway I think the confidence of heavy showers moving in from the East is high now from the 4th
Here are the 850s & Freezing levels.
Best case scenario is about -9c & 100M which in the current climate & how things have been is great.
Worst case is probably -6c & 300M
so still a day or 2 to firm up but getting interesting
Just hope the showers will be able to reach my location but not that hopeful

Erm this tweet says the SSW has actually started

so hope the ecm comes off. Not had any proper disruptive snowfall here for ages. 2018 didn’t deliver any sort of snow here and just had horrid rain for the last few days so hope it comes off. Also my dad bet me £20 last week we wouldn’t see any snow from now till end of jan.

Rain here up on the Ashdown forest

So how is the chance of snow looking for Sussex? I’m in quite a high spot on the edge of the Ashdown forest about 130m up

Could really do with some snow to cheer me up. Just had a msg from test and trace to self isolate for 7days. Means having to stay in my room away from the rest of the household.

Not too worried about FI atm. Actually prefer it being a bit west as almost always gets pushed south and east as we get closer to the event.
