    It's somehow worrying for me to see that the GFS keeps making stronger the Canadian vortex segment, it's a trend that has carried on in the last runs and doesn't match the stratospheric placement of the vortex Taking as an example February 3rd 22nd 23rd 24th 25th - Today

    Don't like the 00z run, quite a chunck of the polar vortex is transferred to the Canada area, that energy doesn't allow the height to build up nicely and there is just a short cold snap, if the trend continues the atlantic side would get a lot of energy to keep going on

    I quite like this chart. We can see a chunk of the vortex moving towards Siberia, whil heights build in the pole and there is some space for the heights to build towards Greenland, but for that we would need the help of east-american low

    Most of the models are showing a vortex placed over Canada. If that came true, the atlantic would be empowered and most of the cold would stay at the "wrong" side of NH

    Well, there is a little change in the 06z run, but I don't know how much it could affect to our weather. We can see a change in the jet stream profile 00z 06z It's moving upwards now, and the change comes from a little low that can be seen here Due to the tilt of the low instead of pushing the High to the east it helps it to move upwards

    Nor'easter in United States, maybe it moves the energy up to the north at t216 letting the vortex to sink in Europe
