  1. Is this realiable? I am amazed by the differences between the two years GFS 500hpa 2012 2013 850hpa 2012 2013 ECMWF 500hpa 2012 2013 850hpa 2012 2013
  2. Well, that depends of the are of the Basque Country The data I gave before is from the station of Arrasate/Mondragon (light blue), that station is the closest to my location. However, it has only been working for 15 years more or less. On the other hand, I have information of Donostia/San Sebastian (top right - dark blue) since 1928 and the wettest years on record are the following: 1979 -------------- 2206,3 1930 -------------- 1974,1 1931 -------------- 1909,5 2008 -------------- 1909,5 1960 -------------- 1876
  3. I hope you don't mind if I show you some statistics of my region, the Basque Country, in Northern Spain. I was want to show you how wet this year has been so far In a station near my location the data is the following one: January ------------ 421,9lFebruary ---------- 418,4lMarch ------------- 151,7lApril --------------- 182,4lMay ---------------- 152,8l June (9th)---------- 74,5l So far this year: 1401,7l Previous years 2012: 1166,7l2011: 1115,3l2010: 1201,6l2009: 1311,5l2008: 1591,7l Amazing! And we are quite near of the UK
  4. Well, this map doesn't show anything nice Strong vortex and zonal
  5. I know, but if you see that more than 50% of ensembles show heights rising to our west, it should mean something, maybe GFS is picking a background signal already
  6. You should have a look at the ensembles of the GFS t384h... many of them show blocking in the Greenland area
  7. Has anyone noticed in the GFS the slowdown of the atlantic in the early hours of this run?
  8. Because of that High the low moves to the east and the green area moves towars Greenland Because of a low in the east cost of the US, the high starts to rise and breaking the jet
  9. GFS in this run shows High pressures building in the east coast of the US, that's new.
  10. This is a Deja Vu, similar to what happened in December
  11. Black hole in eastern USA That's a lot of energy for the atlantic lows
  12. Just showing what the CMA shows at t144h, another possibility among others (shown by ECM, GFS, UKMO, GEM...)
  13. I don't know if we should trust the CMA or not. At least, in 5 days, we will know how accurate this chinese model is
  14. Step back from ECM? I can't buy that as long as it develops high pressured to the north. Interesting again the Chinese modele, the CMA
  15. Remember what the CMA was showing yesterday? ECM today
