  1. Wind isn’t especially notable here but unusual direction so maybe a bit more sheltered than we are from the normal prevailing wind. Looking east, clear blue sky. Looking west, incredibly black.
  2. A touch of whiteness to the ground now, but the intensity has dropped and looking at the radar I am just in the wrong place here!
  3. Light snow on. Fluffy flakes blowing in the wind. Edit: Getting heavier.
  4. A really heavy and squally shower currently rattling through. Sleet and hail. It has turned white outside, but likely all just hail.
  5. Lightning app was pinging but didn’t hear any thunder here. Had hail also. And now, blue sky!
  6. Weatherwise, a very pleasant winters day where the frost didn’t lift in the shade at the back of the garden. Not a cloud in the sky all day. Not in the yellow warning area for Tuesday but hopeful I will see some white stuff given I have a wee bit of elevation. Won’t be going out to search for the snow if we don’t get any here as I feel absolutely rotten and have a positive lateral flow. Suppose I was always going to get it at some point! .
  7. Not as much snow as others but starting to feel very seasonal. Walk round the village which started with grey skies and the mist really coming down before it just lifted and cleared in the space of 15 mins.
  8. Fair blowing here but nothing exceptional. Still a really biting wind.
  9. Still clear skies and a just a stiff northwesterly here. But that wind is bitingly cold!
  10. Been up to my eyes at work and not been following things. Had a double take at the red warning! Certainly looking a lively spell of weather. Blue sky and just a brisk breeze here this morning.
  11. Cold one this morning and noticeably so in walking the kid up to school. Cars were well frozen including in the door seals with yesterday evens rain.
  12. First notable frost here this morning, although the car was frozen one morning a couple of weeks ago. Frost on the cars, roofs and grass. Car still frozen in the shade at 9.45am. Heading up to Lochaber later and looks a stunning day for it.
  13. @Puffy MacCloud earlier rumbles sounded like they were to the southwest from here and quite distant. Still warm and humid but missing all the shower action here now.
  14. Warm, humid and pretty wet through parts of Ayrshire. Just had a torrential downpour with a couple of distant rumbles. Also nothing like a torrential shower to highlight that the gutters need cleaned!
  15. Woke to some pretty heavy rain during the night which is the first notable rain I can remember for some time. Hopefully everything should green up a little now as it’s all looking very brown. Looking pretty wet in the northeast. Bit of a stuffy feel so will see what bubbles up today.
  16. A fair bit of hazy sunshine today. Still feeling warm and with little breeze it’s still pretty stuffy. Will likely catch the rain moving in from the west but not sure how much there will really be here.
  17. Another hot one today. If anything feeling hotter than yesterday. Any low cloud was gone when I got up. One more day too see out what has been a fabulous spell of summer weather.
  18. Certainly didn’t feel any cooler today and the low cloud cleared pretty early on. Feeling hot in the sun and really starting to notice how dry the ground is with the grass now being pretty brown. Even at sunset it was still really warm on a walk round the village.
  19. Don’t normally come on here much in the summer months but a fantastic spell of summer weather. I like the heat but having said that it’s a bit extreme sitting with all the windows and doors open at 23.30 trying to cool the house down before bed. I think Glasgow will touch 30c before the week is out and things cool down at the weekend. It really has also been very dry here over the last 3 or 4 months despite a very cold April and May. Been in this house 12 years and the garden has only been drier in 2018. Grass is starting to turn pretty brown. Starting to hear of those on private water supplies seeing their supply run dry.
