Some of my dislike is when i was in primary school and i can still see that horrible white caravan parked in the school carpark in my mind, is we had a 'school dentist' which was mobile and to cut a long story short took pleasure in filling our teeth for no reason other than money. For me his 'handy work' gave me an infection and I ended up back and forward to my parents dentist and both teeth he had done broke in half and finally fell out. These were MILK teeth as well and totally unnecessary for any treatment. My mouth was never the same after, my gums still play me up today.

That's seriously wrong, was he ever struck off?

I have never liked them as a kid, then when I was seven I fainted and fell on my face and broke two, which are capped and need replacing. I've had all manner of things done but it doesn't make it any easier and the worst thing is holding back form going you end up with more work to be done. I'm not a big fan of doctors either, but dentists *shudder* I'd rather have my nails pulled out.

I'm fine with doctors, but dentist's are a big no no. There is a reason, I had a bad dentist once, and he's put me off for life.

Little bit of a nip in the air today but still quite mild - sunny and a light breeze. Laptop giving me a major headache as the most used button has now broke and I have broken a nail smacking it just to get the browser working so I could check the weather for today and tomorrow.  If it doesn't head out side though the nearest window today it will be lucky and by that i mean from the top of the house. I won't be just dumping the thing but taking a hammer to it.

Feels like Autumn today and looks it, the trees are doing their bit, leaves everywhere. Still too warm for the woolly hat and spare a thought for me today aswell. I need to register with the new dentist in the village today and I HATE dentists, I mean I am probably the worst patient they will get, and that will just be in the waiting room. They scare me half to death, and hubs is making me go :(

You and me both when it comes to dentists, you just reminded me I need to make an appointment. I'm half way through treatment but forgot to make my next appointment after the last lot. It wasn't on purpose but may be subconsciously it was if you know what I mean.

    Morning,

I see the model junkies have started their cold hunt.. Some of them getting a little bit to attached to it. At so far out things change and I'm still going for a wet and mild October, but currently October starts cool.

The actually pattern for the weather in the week ahead looks boring and normal. With low pressure sliding north West and we are left with crappy cloud and decaying weather fronts (today and Sunday an example)

Be interesting once we get through October what happens next, but for now it's a bit of a bor fest

If they are right though I'm more worried about Siberia than here, cause my 16 year old will be there in late November early December. She knows it's gonna be cold, however I'm not sure she's expecting extra cold lol. I'm not really sure how she'll cope with something like -40. Anyway she'll have plenty of layer she can put on, and take off as appropriate so unless she an idiot she'll be fine.

Hi - sorry, to clarify. I'm talking about 10hPa, 60 deg. N model signal through November. An interesting possibility so early in the season, but not (currently) a majority ENS solution.

Will this mean central Siberia may be very cold in late November?

See  I don't get this. Last year many of the named storms  such as Desmond and Eva  had  significant rain  hazards but  barely any wind  problems at all. So what's changed because it seems to me that it wasn't just for wind last year either.

It was meant to be for just wind, and Desmond was meant to be a wind storm, it's just that flooding over shadowed it. May be why the changes. Also you have to remember that the Irish met are involved too, if I remember right it was the Irish met that named that one for wind, and it brought rain here.
