Haha cheers buddy! Yes, was this afternoon around 4-5pm I already was at 0c and the freezing fog has started to fall from the sky around Ascot/Sunningdale! Going to look amazing tomorrow!!!

I though I could see the early signs of fog forming, seems a little warmer tonight for now here though.

GPs warn stay warm as snow 'likely' to fall in South

The Met Office has today issued a warning to people across the South - with a 70% chance of temperatures below 2C and a widespread risk of ice or snow...Continued..

Frost warning I expect, although I'll just have to lamppost watch to make sure now lol. I get where the wording comes from as, the ice and snow warnings are under one banner, I doubt any snow will be around.

Really hope this weather lasts beyond the weekend. Much better to run and walk the dogs on cold crisp days. Don't mind it will turn cloudy late in week as long as it doesn't rain.

Bit of stuck record in the MOD thread - 2 weeks ago 'now' was the period to watch.. that's now turned into mid December the 'one' to watch.

Get the feeling come mid December it will be the beginning of January the 'one to watch' and rinse & repeat - until eventually spring arrives... lol

I think we should be watching for quick changes once the cold gets in, if we can get a good under cut, or the high moves slightly north and west, we are in business here in the SE. Of course the high may just sink, which will then warm things up. That seems to be a while away yet.

Boring......and foggy days are just dreadful. And i really dont care if it means frosty mornings.

Give me a mild, dry Winter anyday (rare i know). Looking back i quite liked Dec 15 - balmy evenings, no heating on....yes, luverly.

Cold and snow......now that is v nice!

But......fog and dreary grey days with low temps....NNNOOOOO!!!

Once the cokd is in at ground level it only takes small tweeks here an there for snow to turn up. An under cut could hit the cold air plus drag in colder uppers, or a low could come down the north sea an do similar. The winter I keep hearing people talk about, 62/63 was a high pressure over the UK dominated type winter. Let's just see what transpires in the long run.

ps, I don't mean this winter will be anything like 62/63. That should go without saying, however I know some might read it that way.
