  1. today sort of day of 2 halves, morning felt like April with cold wind, but now wind gone much warmer, feels more like summer
  2. just need to get rid of this horrid NW'ly, worst wind direction here, so prone to rain from the Cheshire gap, washout yesterday, today rain at times morning, tomorrow looks wet as well, thank heavens change due Friday autumn mornings as well, could see breath this morning just before 8am
  3. yes Frosty, certainly get them out if these runs come off! looks a seriously hot day that
  4. cheshire gap day, and tomorrow/thurs, be lucky to see any dry weather here before Friday, and sunshine non existant here with a NW flow, right on the Cheshire Gap
  5. yes, just missed me to the north, think it was as far south as Stoke/Newcastle
  6. GFS right again most likely, my favoured Atlantic model, we are Atlantic
  7. but then we have things warming up after, and hopefully sunny, but you wouldn't post these charts
  8. yes and polar maritime annoying, always cherry picks cold/wet charts on MOD, not sure if it's to wind the summer fans up
  9. yes the Wimbledon final very hot day, as was during Wimbledon and just after
  10. Nov '96, which was the start to a great winter very snowy spell, 19th was amazing, Stafford must have been in 'sweet spot' for a low lying area anyway
  11. yes, it does tend to be the warmest month, although lacking hot spells since '03, Sept normally 2nd warmest
  12. yes, certainly remember Wimbledon final, Murray's win very hot
  13. Yes Frosty, Carol at Wimbledon said mid to high 20's for finals weekend,
  14. Summer in the UK takes the jaffa cakes! wet for my location with showers streaming from Cheshire Gap, feeling cold with wind and rain
  15. usually means rain on the way, must have this time, wet now
  16. I know you were, I am a firm believer, nobody knows what's causing it, but low pressure has become more frequent, as has Atlantic air/stronger jet, high pressure less frequent in winters since approx 2000
  17. like setup you'd see in Dec, strong jet stream, westerlies and low pressure
  18. dosen't sound too bad, could be less with troughs and NW winds
