Could be at altitude I guess it doesn't actually look like too much is blowing about at the moment but it must be something like that fooling the radar, trouble is people outside that area just assume it must be snowfall and if they're not getting any get the hump. It's worth bearing in mind folks that radar isn't 100% accurate and can be fooled
Especially the section of radar that is just North of Ipswich its average at its best to be honest.

Near to Hadleigh, Ipswich, we have (almost) blizzard conditions - very very cold in the strong wind, drifting across roads over open farm land, many cars stuck. Second snow day here, as located along country/back roads, and now stuck as sandwiched between open farmland. Stocked up at home and taking pics of the event. Image of road across open farmland earlier, ventured out to have a look on roads in 4WD car but no further as drifts ahead.
Wow!! Thats a Scottish highlands scene, never thought id see photos like that from where i live.
Thanks for sharing CA

Flow now seems to be more ENE and more showers popping up in the North Sea.
They should go back to Easterly quite quickly, this looks like the final tiny wave in the flow.
-
You can see on radar the shower feed starting to lift again as it reaches the bottom extent of the dip in the wave.

Not overly convinced as the showers seem to be breaking up really easily when they get near the coast :/ Not sure why!
See my post @geg1992 were running out of moisture in the plume to our East, also the upper trough is sliding North out of our region now, that takes us back to where we were before with just a bitty showery regime until the moisture is gone.
Was amazing though wasn't it, didn't imagine yesterday when i spoke to you that it would be quite that good

This is insane, the feed off of The Netherlands coast is looking stunning on Sat24

Constant pulses of heavy snow West Ipswich just not letting up.

Can now see the Easterly push on the back of the wave squeezing more energy into the convection.

This is why i hate organising parties.......One minute the Beast is coming.
The next minute The Beast hasn't turned up
Then you ask someone else in his place
And The Beast just turns up unannounced

No coz in basildon they only got icing sugar on the floor ?
So now you tell them that they didn't want it enough so you kept it all for yourself, and if they apologise you might sort them out tomorrow
I'm not promising but that might just work lol.

What are your thoughts on our chances for the rest of the day mate? Doesn't seem to be much in the way of showers forming.
Yes looks like a bit of a lull to our East for a bit, though its very unstable so pop ups may occur, looking at sat24 the moisture coming off Denmark looks to have better organisation today for more organised beefy shower lines these more affecting North Norfolk northwards but they do still have some slight southwards movement to them, so this evening into the night (the best time) may look better.

I'd think that the MO would have to issue and amber for our area Sno
Certainly a direct East moisture field coming off the Netherlands coast on Sat24, if a disturbance runs through it, it could certainly liven it up.

Barely any radar return over us here but the light snow is just coming down so thick.
