  7. December 1992 only had 7.2 hours of sunshine all month in these parts.The nearest as dull was January 1996 with 10.3hrs.Just to put into perspective the dullest months since 1996 are December 2015 and January 2013 buth with 23 hrs of sunshine.

  16. Loving it ,spent all week helping out on the farm with the haymaking what should have been done in July!

  18. Many farmers in the valley starting their haymaking after just making a satrt at the end of June.Never in my l50 years have we gone the entire July and August and not made hay,not even 2008 and 2012,truely shocking!

A very unusual year which gave a very late snowfall in the last days of April affecting the South and London.Following on September recorded one of its highest temperatures of 90F on the 11th yet just a week laterafter a dramatic switcharound snow affected the North and the southwest ,the earliest dates for snow to fall in England.After that followed the coldest Autumn of the Century with November recording a crazy -23 deg midmonth.
