Peoples inability to use ‘too’ in all the threads drives me nuts. -

yes !!!!!!! Kasim wasn’t on board with this cold spell. I wonder what he’ll be feeling looking at 40cm of snow on Friday? -

Don’t like the rain part of the update. Still wish I lived up a big hill. Skipton might be a sweet spot Thursday. while across the southern portion of the waring area, snow will turn back to rain through Thursday afternoon and evening. Crap -

This could be the regions first frontal snow for years. I’d still like it to correct South so we end up on the colder side. -

These systems often adjust South if they are ‘sliders’ being compressed by a wedge of high pressure that is under estimated. This is different so I don’t expect it to correct South. Either way looking forward to it. -

Snow to rain Thursday/Friday. Expect the snow line to nudge north. Might get a slushy deposit but milder air is behind the front. -

Model Output Discussion - A cold start to Spring?
Spah1 replied to Cheshire Freeze's topic in Forecast Model Discussion
The biggest point that has already been raised is that most on here have been patiently waiting 7 weeks to see if the SSW was going to affect our weather and give us some snow. It’s pathetic the block lasts 3 days after all that waiting. If someone showed you that chart in November you’d fall off your chair with excitement but it all collapses after 4 days. -

Doubt showers will make it here from the north east on Tuesday. -

Those folks checking every model run over the next 5 days for the position of Thursdays low are going to do their nut in. UKMO Is fine by me as these systems do end up further South. I’ve been on here since 2011 and seen every frontal ‘slider’ from the SW go under the North West which is infuriating however we make up for it in NW showers that are tremendous fun. Looking forward to how it all unfolds but after waiting for 7 weeks for the block to not even last 3 days is pathetic. -

Looks like a 2 day cold snap. UKMO 168hrs loses the blocking. -

You are not understanding my point. The quality of the charts are based on your location. I’m more likely to see snow next week than in 2018. Anyway …… next week looks interesting after a rubbish Winter. Hopefully the cold air can last around more than 3-4 days after this 6-7 week chase.
