    Disappointing so far. Falling snow but miles off getting 5-10cm. Will have to see how the day goes and tonight but I'll be amazed Chorley has a decent covering in the morning.

    Snowing in Kirkham but no chance of any accumulation, flakes not big enough or heavy enough. At this stage if I got 5cm in Chorley I’d be delighted.

    If you run the radar Met Office app forward there looks a big gap in Lancashire this afternoon and the heavy stuff going through Wales which is why there is an orange warning there.
