  1. Silly question but when to temps peak in the day at this time of year? Just wondering, as there are clearer spells here now and would be a great for temps to drop before the precipitation moves in.
  2. Here's the link buddy.... http://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/arpege.php?ech=3&mode=24&map=330 Here is the link to the NMM Model too http://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/wrfnmm.php?ech=3&mode=1&map=5
  3. The ARPEGE 6z is out and it has shifted the snow line slightly west which is better for our region...
  4. Frost melting here now in usual spots..car windscreens etc, still on grass. Was never expecting frost all day here anyways so having it until even now is a bonus. I think we will see some snow at some point today/tonight, how much and will it settle are another thing.
  5. This is looking more promising than I thought it would. Snow literally to the coast...
  6. I would rather be on the border of rain/snow on a slider as it normally corrects west in time. Perfect placing for me at the mo.
  7. Snow/Rain/Snow. Though i did watch it as it changed from the 0z-6z and the precipitation is hanging on for longer (as 'snow') for longer than the 0z in the early hours. #SmallMercies
  8. Yeah, I just got a tweet off them as I asked them if their route of the precipitation has changed since the warning was announced. They didn't really reply to the question but said, "the worst of the snow will fall tonight", and that was for Nantwich. I have asked about the rain/snow boundary and awaiting a reply.
  9. One of the straws I'm cluthing is I think the MetO must be quite sure of the path to make the 'Warning' area so concise. If they were that unsure they would have put a bigger warning area.
  10. Some great discussion in here this morning to wake up to, cheers peeps. I think as most people say it's all down to the route it takes. It has shifted that touch east overnight which puts a lot of us in a riskier bracket. I remember back in 2013 and we were smack in the middle of the warning and it still stalled slightly to the west on the day, so it will be a lamp watch situation. I'm not saying this will, in fact I think it will swing a tad more east (like the showers yesterday etc) than forecast. A day or so again this was a none affair so no hopes set and if owt good falls then it's a bonus. The 6z's should give us more clue into it. Aaron, are the winds still forecast for come from the SE? Can't see that chart you posted yesterday with the lines/arrows etc? (not the usual wind map)
  11. 0z Arpege looking ok for the NW *edit* That's the 18z!! Doh. I'm going back to bed!
  12. Morning all. Randomly woke up and thought I would check on tonights possible feature. How's it looking?
  13. Cheers buddy. Not got chance to watch the forecasts all day.
  14. I am liking the wind being SE for tomorrow nights feature. I think just need much more on 'our side' temperature, dew point etc to get proper snow from the North West Streamers. Just looked at the BBC website and it's looking good on there for Nantwich.
  15. Luckily the fun is planned to start around 9pm so will know if it's sleet or snow by then!
  16. Hey up CreweCold. It's like the old days eh? Chasing the Radar at 4am!
  17. The Dew Points for here from the Euro4 for the time of the Rain/Snow are freezing or lower and the uppers are -8. So fingers crossed.....but we have been here before and got sleety ice pellets.
  18. Been keeping an eye on the ARPEGE as Met Office rate it and it's looking better on the 12z than on the 6z for tonight.
  19. Joking aside, tonight is a good chance of getting a slight covering. I am slightly west than Crewe (be it very slight) and temps are meant to hover around 0 so could be interesting.
  20. This for me is very important. The MO see this up there with one of the best. If this is on board then it's only a good thing.
  21. Just a question for the experts.... I know the weather can technically go 'tits up' at any time but at what time scale can we safely say that 'something' is going to happen? To my untrained eyes I take it that if the Greenland block appears then some sort of cold weather will come (with more specifics nearer the time). Was just wondering when we can be sure of this pattern change? Cheers
  22. Well it's sleety snow in Nantwich yet in Sandbach a few miles away it's snowing and had settled on grass etc.
