  1. Yep, we were moving to new (faster!) servers this afternoon, and it looks like they have a small config problem when it comes to that type of images. Should have it fixed in the morning
  2. We have a problem with jpeg images currently, but png and gif images should be fine
  3. The regons aren't necessarily about the similarity in weather but they are relatively close together, and an opportunity to discuss things within a mini-community as opposed to nationally. As an example, Scotland has an incredibly varied climate, but that is also a single region
  4. Ok yep, seems like jpg's aren't happy at the moment, will get Karl to look at it first thing.
  5. Can't see any reason for this to be occurring - what type of image are you trying to upload? Just seen your reply above - will have a look into that now.
  6. I've just merged together the Scotland and North of Northern England discussions to form this new thread as per the discussions here: http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/80194-regional-threads-changes-for-summer/?p=2965003 This is region 1 on the map - there is some overlap so those close to the borders please feel free to post in the discussion which suits you best
  7. 10. I'd suggest clearing your browser cache in that case, sounds like something isn't loading properly for you.
  11. 5mb's is pretty big for a photo going online - best to resize it back to about 1200px across.
  12. Ok, think I see it - have deleted your most recent image, think it's timing out as it's such a big file.
  13. Just did a quick test and it's ok for me, what problem are you seeing?
  14. Jo's made a video review of April's weather http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=news;storyid=5867;sess=
  15. Morning, there is a risk of some storms in the region today - Nick's issued a convective forecast and posted it up in to the storms thread: http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/80164-convective-storm-discussion-1st-may-2014-onwards/page-10#entry2965638
  16. Still looking good for chase day 1 Ian's heading out to the USA today so that'll be the full quota of staff members out there, then the first guests are arriving on Friday prior to the first official day of the chase on Saturday. Sunday is likely to be the first chase day.. For the 4 chase virgins on the team it could be a jaw dropping start!!
  17. Onto the next one - it's from 2010 - Day 23 to be precise, and according to Paul's report, it was one of his best days ever... It was a high risk day, the team started in Texas but soon headed into Oklahoma where they bagged 5 tornadoes, and some incredibly structured supercells. Here are some of the highlights: Next up, a 2013 chase day..
  18. Cheers mate, pick a date or two of your top chases and I'll dig out the photos
  19. Thought for this batch I'd take a trip down memory lane - right back to tour 1 2008. My first chase, and also Michael Fish's first chase. This one was Mike's first ever US supercell Another of the supercells from later in the tour. A nice hail core coming right at us - I remember this one as it moved past as it went from being 85f to 50f in about 30 seconds as the cold outflow winds from the storm hit us. It's then you realise just how much air these things are sucking in, and later spitting out! It's not just about the chasing - Stu was our first guest to try the 72oz steak challenge, unfortunately he didn't make it. Edit - when I say didn't make it, it didn't finish him off or anything, he just couldn't eat it all in time! And finally, on a down day we went to the little house on the prairie, we've not been back there in all the years since. Nuff said... Next up, I'm thinking something from 2010.
  20. My bad, badly typed link http://www.netweather.tv/radar
  21. Did you know that you can check the radar without even having to leave netweather http://www.netweather.tv/radar
  22. Supercell right over Medway I heard - you missed a huge one. *This may be a lie*
  23. Another batch this time all from the final day of the 2013 chase - 22nd June in Wyoming and Nebraska. (made for a long drive back to the airport, but it was worth it!) More to follow!
