  12. There have actually been quite a few storms in western parts of late, and are even some strikes showing up on the lightning detector this morning as the latest system moves in. The risk numbers themselves are created using a number of factors. Edit - see here too http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/78039-convective-storm-discussion-4th-october-onwards-2013/?p=2808757
  13. Helloooo!! This is the model thread, not general chat about anything else thread, thanks

  17. Hi, this option is available as you can adjust the opacity of the radar and switch it off using that
  18. No, I don't know of any reasons why that shouldn't show for you. Perhaps clear you browser cache, that may sort it. If not let me know.
  19. No server issues currently, I think you may have just hit the server request limit on your ip somehow.
  20. It changes the colour scale of the radar - nw original is the first one we made, traditional matches the metoffice radar colours, and nw new is our latest colour scheme.
  21. Ok, so some more info - last night we had an upgrade on our firewall, at that point it looks like a cable wasn't replaced properly and that eventually disconnected this pm. Our hosting company Rackspace (who were responsible for the work done overnight) then took approx 1hr 45 to diagnose and fix the problem (eg go to the firewall, notice the cable not in and push it in), which is obviously pretty unacceptable, but there we have it. Apologies again...
  22. Apologies for the downtime earlier, we're unsure of the exact cause as yet but in short a vital networking connection broke which took everything down.
  23. Not specifically picking on people here they're just the three most recent examples, but the posts above made this morning are not model discussion - these sorts of posts really need to go into the model banter/moan/chat thread: http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/76235-model-banter-moans-and-ramps/
