  1. Am I the only one who takes this with a pinch of salt?
  2. I think 30c will be reached at the end of June. The Midlands most likely place. Can not see 35+ this year.
  3. Didnt they say this week was supposed to be poor yet its warm all week? I dont really follow that Monthly Outlook to seriously. Always wrong.
  4. No way 2012 will be repeated...that was a once in a while thing. June is looking promising...a normal month.
  5. So no warm spell then? Seriously, is there a heat shield over the UK?
  6. I think I'd have to sell everything to keep my flat warm in winter. It was a struggle this winter! Or I'd have to wear my coat and shoes all day. Re: Summer 2012, I think it was a one-off event...but then again 2007 was bad, but that was saved with a few very warm days and it being warm in September. Perhaps more like 1988? My Mum said that was 2012-esque.
  7. I hope winter 2013-4 is not a 1962-3 repeat It's been OK here in the Somerset area, but nothing special bar a few hot days here and there. I think it will be a decent summer in 2013. An improvement on 2012.
  8. This is looking positive!! I think June will be a very decent month. Saying that, unrelated today has been warmish in the South West despite the rain.
  9. As wrong and impossible it sounds....can we actually CHANGE the weather ie fire something to kill the low pressure?
  10. Remember, there is ALWAYS one model that goes against the grain. Is the UK not allowed heat until 2015?
  11. Understandable, but don't try and get too down-hearted. Chances are it could change again with the Met anyways.
  12. True, you have a point Frosty but how many times have they been proven wrong? Remember the barbeque summer forecast of 2012....never happened. Granted they probably have access to more models than we do, but who knows?
  13. Perhaps the Met Office are playing it down not to disappoint? I am confident everything will go to plan.
  14. I think take the WSI with a pinch of salt. It's the same with the ECM..yes that's the negative model but it has FINALLY came around to agree with the others. Most have said average/above average summers....I do concur with these
  15. Cheers for that, I thought I imagined it lol.
  16. It was quite warm both years in the Midlands. 2004 summer has special memories for me on a personal level especially late July/August, but I think some of them would be inappropriate to put on this forum. 2005 - Didn't it go into October the heat? I remember going out near Worcester (can't remember where lol) and it was baking!
  17. As much as I would love a 1995/2003/2006 outcome (from what I've heard about 1976 would turn me into a snow and cold lover lol), this is not realistic. I think a 2004/5 which was warm, but not overly warm will happen.
  18. I hope June 2013 erases any memory of June 2012 out of my mind....worst summer month ever along with July 2007.
  19. It does look...co-incidential to say the least......I doubt it will be the repeat version.
  20. I think looking at those charts, this is VERY encouraging for Summer 2013. Today is rather warm and pleasent in the South West. If this can keep up, I will be very happy. It doesn't have to be 35c but this spell will make A LOT of people happy.
  21. I hope this is true. Would be FANTASTIC for June
  22. Realistically, I think the word "average" will be the best description for Summer 2013. I can see an improvement on 2012, even 2011!
