  1. This one from October 2005 - VERY warm. Memories of travelling to Kidderminster to see my Dad. The temperature was 21c in Birmingham!!
  2. This reminds me of the Indian summer of 1985 for some reason - mainly to do with the fact it was out at that time. I don't remember that one - I wasn't even one at the time.
  3. 2005 - It did feel like summer in October...can always remember the first week of September being boiling hot, in fact similar to this one at the start! 2006 - I remember late September/October being very warm? 2011 - those warm days in October were GLORIOUS! Made up for a rubbish summer.
  4. 1994 - I was coming up to ten at the time, and my youngest sister had been born. Was a warm month and I remember playing out after school in the warm autumnal sun. 2005 - Very warm as I recall. Can remember my first ex turning 21 and travelling to Brum from Cov in boiling temperatures. 2006 - I remember it being very warm and an extension of the very hot summer we had. It was about 22/23c when my nephew was born! 2011 - It was decent. Even better than the August! Worst was 2008 - VERY wet and by the end of the month it started to turn cold.
  5. I'm not surprised 2013 is top ten in the best ever summer stakes. It really has been impressive, despite a slow start. 2012 - let's face it, it's one of the worst ever. Surprised the infamous 1988 and 1993 ones are ranked higher!
  6. October 1985 - surely this is a rarity being the latest hottest day of the year. Was it a warm October overall?
  7. I am thinking to myself, if we get a warm October will this rival 1985/2011?
  8. I can smell the victory lol To be fair, August hasn't been too bad. Quite wet, but August is never as intense as July.
  9. 15.1c - Not a 2006 repeat, but I can see a few very warm days happening.
  10. That chart prediction for November, will that be forecast snow?
  11. Bloody hell, I might land up winning the competition this month with my guess of 17.0c
  12. WHOAH!! If this comes true, what a record breaking summer indeed. Hard to believe in the middle of June it was 14/15c in places and gushing down with rain.
  13. I was 12 at the time, and I remember it being a muggy month. Never forgot a thundery day on a day trip to Stratford in the middle of that month. Again, one event from that month is obviously Diana's death. It happened on my parent's wedding anniversary.
  14. Warm summers like 2006/2003 with warmth to late September/early October. Winters to have snow, ideally from late November to late February. A wet March and mild April and May. That would be perfect for me! Any countries who have this?
  15. September..it's like May - not exactly summer but can spring some VERY pleasent surprises. We do need a good August. Despite 2012 being rotten, we did have a good one last year. I think it'll be a mixed month, but with a warm spell in the second half of the month.
  16. 17.0c - *slightly* warmer and better than 2012, can see a nice warm spell towards the end of the month boosting maxima.
  17. Thunderstorm of about half an hour with very heavy showers at around 2-3ish in Weston-super-mare. Grey and muggy so far.
  18. Seeing the latest model reports....I think this *may* stay for the long-run. 2006/2003/1995/1990/1976 vibes again.
  19. Not suprised the South West is the first to cool down. A welcome relief I may say. Is August due a good start or the same pattern as other years?
  20. No chance. Daily Express should stick to Diana stories than the weather.
  21. I am probably wrong here, but didn't the very hot spell in July 2006 produce SOME rain and thunderstorms? I do remember popping up the shops one Saturday and it was pouring it down, but very warm - I couldn't care what anyone thought with me going out in it and happy lol. There seems to be no end in sight for this warm spell.....though I have to admit being a heat lover, this has got a bit too much. We do need the rain.
  22. Daft question, when was the last time we had a cold winter, cool spring and a very hot summer?
  23. If true and verified, I can see the UK record being broken.
