0 is pretty chilly. Nothing unusual with frosts in late April but not good considering everything is late in bloom. Does look encouraging that this cool spell is very brief. Why always a weekend though lol

This is typical for end April/early May. I remember this last year at this stage - the first week was quite cool, and the nights were cold - going to be damaging for the spring growth though. Hopefully the first full week of May looks warm.

I don't know whether I dreamt this, and my Mum does back me up on this. But when I was 6 in 1991, I remember it snowing in May - we were living in Birmingham at the time. Is this really a true event?
