    Met going for max of 27-28c in London area for remainder of week. Nought special or unusual in these parts to be honest. 19.3 at the minute. Media frenzy again.And train tracks buckling in the heat??? WTF

    Looks like normal summer fayre to be honest. South east of a line from Bristol to the Wash,pretty damn good,sunny and very warm,north and north-west of that line,very mediocre,damp and drizzly with the odd heavier burst I would imagine. Average summer weather,nought to get excited about.

    That's why you don't see many from down here bleating on endlessly about heat,humidity etc.Bloody awful in London when it gets hot. No escaping it. Roll on September I say.

    Yes,usual the usual fayre,sunny spells and breezy. And no sign of any rain which will please most folk on here.We dont want to be getting wet now do we,might catch a chill.

    Rainwater is better for crops and much more environmentally friendly than using ground sourced water,especially here in the overcrowded south east. If the ground is too wet for you get some boots and get some hats for your pooches.

    Its a bit dull and dreary that's for sure and we certainly could do with some rain. Been at the allotment too,spuds doing well,it's dry but not as dry as I was expecting it to be. Some showers later in the week hopefully,with some sun aswell. Outlook looking a bit boring. Nought to get excited about either way. The 'azores high chase' is in full swing on the mod thread.

    Boring does'nt even come close. Still,no doubt someone will invite me to. 'bbq' later where I can feast myself on half cooked sausages and feast my eyes on hairy toes and flip flops!

    Sleet on top of Ben Nevis!! That's summer hols sorted.GFS not on board yet but ECM smelling the coffee seemingly. There's a stand off between the other models. Pistols at dawn... 0600z.

    It is all rather boring and tedious weather wise lately,at least with a showery westerly regime there is something to talk about. This is just a yawnfest.Zzzzzz. Wake me up when we get some weather.

    Yes,totally agree. Good job they are not forecasting in parts of the world where severe weather is a matter of life or death.

    If you think thats depressing,look what southern norway is having. 33c and wall to wall sunshine. 3 months ago they were having weeks of -10 and deep deep snow. Looking a bit lively round these parts tommorow though.

    Tasty storm here in SW19 now.Incredibly dark too. Doesn't compare to Saturday nights show.That will take some beating. I make that 4 storms in 5 days.

    Strange storm last night. Torrential rain between about 2 and 3.30. Several booms of thunder and very bright lightening. Local park flooded earlier.

    Proper torrential rain now,little storm still banging away like a good'un. I suppose thats what they mean by isolated

    Loud thunder here now,wind getting up,no rain as yet,clouds seem quite "light' given the amount of thunder.

    Gone very dark here,could be a shower on way,some interesting cloudscapes too. At least its a break from the glaring blue sky monotony. Hopefully a good dollop of rain over next few days from storms. Perfect day for outdoor working.
