  1. well I would stick with ukmo at the moment. As it called our summer spot on. Not to say it's got winter correct. But that's were I would place my money at moment especially if it's showing same next update.
  2. god he sounds just like madden. Is it his brother lol.
  3. Well at the moment everything we have at our disposal at the moment seems to be pointing towards a very similar winter to last year in the uk. By that I mean mild not the servere flooding and storms we had last year. I'm just wondering if we are once again heading into a cycle of milder winters for the uk.
  4. What's with all the doom and gloom. Look on the bright side save a fortune on heating. Travel chaos avoided due to a dusting of snow and everyone panics. Think this winter will once again be mild which will at least once again show maddens true colours of not having a clue. Don't think those models are bad at all for saving us all cash on heating. Bring it on I say.
  5. Early stages but the USA looks like going into deep freeze again this winter. Gavs weather vids so far is painting a positive nao. Think we will be seeing another wild wet winter this year. Especially if the USA is going to freeze again. Throwing Atlantic storms across out part of the world again.
  6. Just been reading through roger j smiths winter outlook for 2014/2015 and at the moment it does seem that everything is pointing towards a wetter and warmer than average winter. Now roger has called this summer pretty much spot on. But as ever time will tell. But looks very similar to last winter as things stand.
  7. Well if roger63 is to be correct which I have no foundation not believe him after his summer forecast which has been pretty much bang on the money he is going for a warmer and wetter than average winter which sounds about right a this moment in time. But as ever time will tell.
  8. Still got a fuuny feeling this is going to track even further south down into france. But time will tell i guess. Certainly think sunday may yet turn out reasonable for some areas.
  9. even out to next tuesday were looking very unsettled. think next week is a right off in my opnion
  10. true frosty but there own model now backs the gfs 12z run with uk in for a direct hit. Plus I would think the TV forecast won't have the new data in yet. No matter how we dress it up it looks very autumnal for the uk for next 10 days.
  11. Must admit I was feeling a little bit optimistic after the gfs 6z run earlier today. But after tonight's showing with the ukmo now backing the gfs 12z I fear the worst for next week. Think the test at Manchester will be a near washout. Should of been going myself to the east coast cricket festival in scarborough but thankfully I cancelled that trip. And from the output tonight very glad I did. Hopefully we still may see some decent summary weather but for the next 10 days it looks wet and very autumnal.
  12. well this charts could look alot worse. Not Too bad a run at all in my opnion
  13. Thankfully it looks as though bertha will now head down into france. Just grazing the south coast. Looking at the latest gfs 6z run it now looks as though next week could turn out not too bad over much of the uk. Hopefully this trend continues.
  14. looks like gfs 6z has finally woken up. Looks like next week may not be too bad after all looks rather pleasent to my untrained eye.
  15. w Things on gfs to me dont look too bad from tuesday onwards could look a whole lot worse
  16. Does anyone know if this will cause a tidal surge again.? Especially down the east coast. Thanks in advance
  17. Im certainly not cherry picking. The gfs 00z is showing a very unsettled theme through much of its entire run. yes i would love it to be showing high summer charts. But it isnt. We live in the uk it was bound to break down sooner or later
  18. well this weekend looks very wet indeed. looks like alot of rain and cool for the foreseable future on the gfs
  19. Not exactly model related but could this storm cause a tidal surge again? With this weekend into next week been spring tides. Thankyou in advance.
  20. what's the betting it has no support though frosty?
  21. Looking at everything at the moment it looks to me like we could see some problematic rain over next week. Think test match at Manchester will be a total washout. And also cricket festival at scarborough won't fair much better. Next 10 days looks pretty dam bleak.
  22. Well looks to me like next 2 weeks at least look awful. Looking at the charts this morning from end of this week onwards looks like strong or servere gales in places with copious amounts of rain. Not great for mid point of summer holidays.
  23. Yet another awful run from the gfs 12z run. Think we're going to perhaps see some flooding problems over the next few weeks. From this Friday onwards it looks like heavy rain for many parts of. The uk. Not great charts for the midway point of the 6 week holidays.
