Real heavy shower here now, total white out. Bods well for later.

To many people running their wood pellet boilers it seems Radar looking interesting again, as mentioned above....really need some prolonged showers to get a good covering on the ground.

There is likely to be an increase in snowfall amounts this evening, especially for parts of southern Scotland and Northern Ireland for which a separate Amber warning will be in force From MetO update there.

Showers gathering out to the west on radar, going to be in interesting day, if wind would let off slightly it would benefit temps, but then showers wouldn't get pushed so far east.

By radar some showers are merging as they push further east.....we have a good covering now, so anything that falls will accumulate.

Netw radar looks to be working again, showers continue to pile in. Really need a couple of heavy ones here to get a covering as any snow thats fallen hasn't stuck. Next couple of days looking interesting to. Hopefully we see some good falls today, would be great to see some of the showers merge.

I couldn’t decide on watching Utd game once or watching paint dry.....it’s quite surprising how you can see the paint dry in certain spots first, almost being absorbed into the wall, quite fascinating

Precipation looking intense, if they merge and temps drop along with Dew points places could get a complete pasting. As MS said earlier, real fun should kick off after 9 ish

I would have assumed this would warrant an amber warning. Snow through morning and evening rush hours, pretty continuous all day it seems.

Spots of green showing on radar this morning. Exciting couple of days coming up with radar and lamppost watching. I'm sure into tomorrow this thread, along with other, will go into overdrive. Hope the servers have had their weetabix.
