  1. Radar would suggest that the cold air is starting to dig in.....a lot of pink appearing. Big thaw in here after epic sized snow flakes after the torrential rain. This is slowly turning into one of those winters we will take about down the line I think
  2. I’ll take one for the team bma and volunteer myself to be snowed in looking good by there update how every confusing it is based on some models.....but their the experts I suppose
  3. NI Weather In Facebook:- Morning folks. Happy Saturday ? Slightly milder today with some rain to come later today and into this evening, becoming heavy. As this starts to clear east into tonight there is a risk that it may turn to snow on its back edge especially in eastern areas. We may issue a warning for this later. Once this clears it will be followed by sleet and snow showers as colder air returns, showers heavy at times and again these most frequent in the North and West. Continuing throughout Sunday giving accumulations. Warnings will be issued later today.
  4. Snow symbols sowing for all day Sunday, double symbols too for a few hours, hopefully metO updates tomorrow with warning extended into afternoon
  5. Easterly still looks good, pushed out now from 19th to 24th Feb
  6. Can't see much of that washing on the line getting dried today ronan Good to see your getting a bit (as always), showers dying out before reaching here.
  7. We're on course for a direct hit here from it gary. Looks quite intense still also.
  8. Hopefully past that now gingercat, would be great to have you contributing with photos of snow and updates from your location and your views on weather going forward.
  9. Are you saying I would be better getting the wife to do it instead?
  10. Nothing to talk about here this morning apart from the ice. Defrosted the car windscreen twice as first defrost re-froze within 10 mins. A balmy 8 degrees forecast tomorrow day time......might get the grass cut
  11. PPN moving in a NE direction? could bring the heavy showers shown on radar a lot more east with more weight to them?
  12. I have 5 snow smybols now for Sunday into Monday, compared to 1 earlier, confidence in automated must be growing. MetO have been fairly accurate this winter, so hopefully we get them on board tomorrow
  13. You’s 2 should have a snow ball fight tomorrow and sort this out once and for all, winner gets to name the snow man i’m going to build Sunday with my son Anyway, good to see reports of snow coming from the west already, it’ll be another hour or to before I get a chance to nowcast from home here, hopefully it’s big heavy snow flakes.
  14. We would require a 'live feed' of you eating your hat should this occur. Stranger things have happened on these shores boofer
  15. BBC automated showing snow all day sunday, I appreciate automated, but showing snow all the same. Hopefully the vidoe forecasts change later, would be good to see the MetO issue warnings, it could be tomorrow before they have confidence and within 48hr window.
  16. Charts like this should cheer a few people up. West looking good for this evening into tomorrow and then another event on Sunday for the white stuff. For the 21st of the month the south to the midlands could get in on the action. All positive outlook and hopefully the months of model watching for the easterly pay off.
  17. Yes MS, looks good across the country, even tonight and into tomorrow some could get a bit of the white stuff. Would be good to see the MetO coming on board for Sunday with warning, just makes it feel a bit more positive towards events shown on models. The GFS also models an easterly with snow around the 19th of the month. Bring it on.....will cheer a fair few people up.
  18. I think there's something amiss with the radar, showed front moving in across NI and now a massive hole in the system.
  19. If we can keep the cold air locked in today the PPN moving west to east could bring moderate falls to places. The radar showing PPN pushing in now quite constant. Warmer air must be also be moving in as the pinks are turning to greens
  20. Should be more snow the further east it pushes, here's hoping anyway.
  21. I still think there is a chance of an easterly within the next 20-25 years. Main road around here are well salted and causing now issues, but the side roads are like a skating rink. The front is pushing into NI now from the west, pink areas expanding, could get another wee dusting, showers popping up to the rear of it also, another interesting day
  22. Thursday night into Friday and Sunday looking like the next days to get this forum back on track with regard to snow chances, based on GFS. I haven't had a nosey in the MOD thread in a day or 2, is there potential there MS?
  23. Was just looking at that Ronan, radar getting a bit livelier. SAT24 showing plently of cloud to the NNW, hopefully PPN picks up.
