  1. I can confirm i have a covering of snow now after snow all day doing nothing. Bobble snow falling from the sky covering the grass and tops of cars it now looks like someone has been out with the sugar shaker. lol Looks to be more coming in from the sea in my direction and the showers are beefier in the channel now. I am hoping they will make it to me
  2. Well Stevieray That chart shows low pressure pushing colder air fro the continent over us and also pushing colder air to the south of the UK we are sort of being squashed in the SE.. Low pressure goes in a anti clockwise direction and high pressure goes in a clockwise direction so if you use that as a basic you can see cold air is being dragged over us from Germany/Holland direction. I hope that helps you a bit High pressure at this time of year is normally associated with clear dry conditions and will be cold. low pressure is normally reserved for wet conditions at most times of the year lol.
  3. Many congrats Leemondo. Well done Mrs Leemondo too. I just love babies. And sorry to hear about your mum lollypop I wish her a speedy recovery.
  4. Got Drizzle here how no snow cover drip drip drip in the garden no different to a horrid winters night temp 1 deg and dew point 0 deg still. I am ready for the spring now with nice sunny days and warm sunshine. I have had three lots of let downs I do not count 20th Jan as i was in Glos when we got snow here and when i came back it was gone withing 5 days so that was a waste of good snow in my books. Have fun radar watching chaps I am off to bed. Night all..
  5. still snowing here but not settling. Temp 1 deg and Dew point 0 deg but still no snow settling on the ground so I will be at work tomorrow on time with no delays due to the weather lol.
  6. Gary other well respected and experienced posters have also been given a hard time by others on here. Don't take it to heart Don't let them beat you.
  7. I will tune in at lunch time to see what has changed. Anyway off to bed now night all.
  8. Hi John thanks for the reply I am finding things in the model thread confusing at the moment and there are so many IMBY posts that it is hard to make sense of it. I hope you are right about the heavy snow as i do not have to go anywhere this time and missed all the heavy snow last month as i was in Chelenham and would love to see a prolonged fall of snow in my garden. Croydon has done well but our little corner did not really do well out of it so maybe this is our time lol
  9. Incidentally, 12z EC keeps the higher WBPT's lingering for longer across southern England, but crucially it's EPS demonstrate how the deterministic sits at one extreme, with most members cooling the airmass quicker. Both EC-EPS and MOGREPS snow probs agree on strong signal for Midlands/Cotswolds re Sun-Mon heaviest snow; only part of UK not within sub-200m WBFL by noon Monday is far SE, where rain/sleet more likely. Elsewhere, the southward retreat of ppn possibly out of phase with WBFL reduction means a steady lessening of snowfall anyway through Monday, aside from showers into the NE... this phasing issue critical to just how widespread & disruptive snow could prove, e.g. for Mon AM rush-hour. Peak totals remain clearly signalled for Midlands, as noted, and parts of upland S-central England (e.g. on M4 corridor) but we'll await 00z with interest, not least as the over-deepened 12z EC is considered an extreme solution in it's development, with UKMO-GM not far behind (it's deeper solution reduced in Exeter modifications). Edited by fergieweather, 6 minutes ago. Just took this from the mod thread Ian F seems to think that we will only get sleet from this post am i reading it right lots of peeps in this thread seem to think we will get snow but in the last 2 snow events we have not done very well here where i live in Mid Kent from the potential can anybody shed some light on this please thanks
  10. welcome back you other lot lol. I have my windows open and am enjoying a nice breeze through the house. Dull drizzle but warm.
  11. my snow has stopped now there are white bits on the radar all around me and no pink over me pfttt
  12. I have snow falling no rain yipee. Ground still dry so if it continues should get a covering. Dew point still -1
  13. snowing here now Dew point -4 temp 1 deg so hey we will see how much comes.
  14. Canterbury too does not have snow and I don't have much more than 1mm in snow depth (not rain depth) grass is still green.
  15. Snow stopped here. As i sit here and look at the radar i can almost convince myself i will not have snow I know the majority of SE is getting it and in good amounts but so far i have had an icing sugar coating which has not even turned the ground white lol maybe i will be lucky and be spared the snow as i have to travel to Cheltenham on Sunday.
  16. My dew point is 1 deg my temp is 1.5 with 94% humidity and my weather station is showing the snow graphics so just maybe lol
