    OK taken me a while but here goes for some charts This is the PNN on the Radar now This is what the NMM model says is happening now And this is what the PPN looks like on the NMM for 2am this morning I post these to show some people that the PNN that is going on now looks just about the same as the model predicted so there is every reason to expect it to be right about 2am Tuesday. Fingers crossed

    I have a dew point of 2 and a temp of 2.3 so if any ppn gets to me now or in the next hour it will be rain. JP you do a really good job keep it up. Surrye you look to have done really well from this. lol I do hope I will see a bit more of the white stuff for selfish reasons as i will get a day off work tomorrow if it does snow heavy tonight.

    Tom you are in good company with others on here. I saw some this morning and am hoping for some tonight but not holding my breath as i always seem to be just the wrong side of the PPN. Never mind there's always next week lol

    Well I am never going to tell my family or anyone else for that matter that it is going to snow lots again!!!!! Today has been c$$p and it looked so good now the weather gods have stolen the snow from the wrap round too. I was marginal for that but was hopeful until the latest Meto update. FWIW it will snow badly on Friday through to Sunday because I have to drive the Cheltenham and did not want to drive through the bad snow so it is sods law that it will snow for me just so that i can't get to cheltenham. Roll on spring.

    nope as it is traveling NNE then it turns N so the stuff to the top still has to move NNE before it turn N which will put it over land before it turns then down to me. come on my pretty come to me lol The heavier stuff is behind the first lot we just have to wait.

    This screen grab shows the direction of the arrows overland so you can see why it is moving south but if you look further out over the north sea towards the top of the screen you can see this band of snow is further over and has a better chance of hitting us in mid Kent as it is pulled south by those winds. It is just will it get to us before the wind changes to a NW as is forecast or not. Lets hope as this PPN was not shown on any forecast i have seen this eve.

    That is tonight the snow is coming from a NNE direction bringing the convective showers over us from the north sea

    It looks to me that it is heavier than the snow on the front and if we can get this into our area overnight and get a covering then we do stand a bit of a chance of the front staying as snow because the cold will moderate the warm sector to a certain extent. what do more experienced posters think

    Just started to snow lightly here. Tiny grains. My NMM high res charts do not look too good for my area Mon into Tues now and I fear I am running out of time for an upgrade. The NW radar shows no PNN over me at all I think there is a prob with it. So I can't even watch to see how other fair in this setup. Good luck guys and lets just hope for some more snow later on in the week.

    I am disappointed at the change in the PPN forecast for us as earlier it looked like a sure thing but now the models say no snow for you. This is to be expected as things change and a lot of people can't help but get sucked into the trap of watching every run. I am hoping for snow Monday through to Thursday as i have told my family there is lots of snow on the way and i will look silly if it does not happen lol I fully expect to look out of my window and see snow falling from the sky soon and will trust those on here like Kold John H and John p to guide us when it comes down to detail and i will be looking at the radar too. FWIW My daughter went to Calais today and was driving through heavy snow the motorways were white and the radar showed sleet so i feel the only solution for me and others is look out the window and if it snows great if not then there is always another day lol. I am off to bed now to dream of playing with a mad black dog that loves snow in my garden over the next few days night all see you in the morning .

    I agree with you and this time round it is nice we are still in the game and seem to be the most at risk of a huge dump of snow. I wish people could be a bit more objective this year there are so many new peeps on here. We seasoned members know better than to live for each run. And this year also thanks to the mods and peeps on this thread for keeping all of us amused and sane when chaos is surrounding us.

    The GFS PPN charts looks like a downgrade for some but keep in mind these are not reliable and there is an easterly on the cards this gives snow showers off the continent running over a warm body of water hitting cold land = snow not rain in most cases. All to play for these showers if they set up will give good accumulations on top of the snow we already have. The upper air will be cold the ground will be cold the warm sector will not have too much effect if we already have snow cover so why all the slashing of wrists and personal comments guys? This is the fun thread away from all the mess on IMBY on the mod thread. Play nice we will all be out in the snow sometime in the coming week (i hope)

    Metcheck is pants for me everytime i look at it my locations is downgraded I never go by it though as it is never right lol.

    Jason can you put your location in your sig too please lol I can't see where you are either. And for any others because the profile info has been turned off to be able to keep this forum running during busy times can you put your location in your signature at the bottom of your post so we can see where the snow is falling and keep a track of how it develops.     Clear skies here in Maidstone too frost on top of car -2 Deg showing on my weather station in my back garden. Dew point -3 Deg 98% humidity too
