  6. Had to work late tonight so missed most of TV weather, BUT on the way home I called into local Sainsburys for some supplies and guess what, they said someone's been down from the hills and cleared the shelves. hahaha heres hoping for 10 hrs snow
  7. yep sure agree, looks like it could be a whole snow event here with little rain, just shows what a bit of elevation can do.

  10. well, a neighbour reminded me last year that they were stuck in snow on boxing day on the estate, and yep it was true I forgot how bad it was here that night. plenty of fun and games. we came close to a real white Christmas in Dec 14, looks like no chance here this time around.VID_20141226_225735644.mp4
  11. well finally had to admit defeat on winter so far, central heating now officially switched off of at 7.50pm, will not go back on until single digit temps are predicted as a regular feature, roll on January 2016 or Feb hahah
  12. OH WOW. its really coming down now, and looking at the radar there seems to be a lot to come car. roads and grass white over in 10 mins, temp has fallen from 1.8 to 0.6. looks like its gonner be an all snow event here haha hah
  13. bonkers weather here today, just sat outside in t-shirt, begonias still flowering, dahlias in full bloom, this is North Derbys at nearly 180mts. great weather, its like an extended Autumn. still missing some decent frosts ha ha. gardens further South must be in full bloom, only casualty here has been marigolds in front garden, but it is North facing, had to dig them up today. temp is 17.5 here at 3.45pm, local station showing a high of 22.3 today that was at 1.08pm graph showed a quick rise from 8.6 at 10.30am to 22.03 at 1.08pm.
  14. well had an eventful holiday on costa del sol, great weather and witnessed an amazing storm over the mountains of Nerja. best lighting I have seen ever, plenty of videos mainly on phone but one on a camera. will try to upload on to youtube and then post link but the storm was a special one. BELIEVE ME when i say in real life it was special !!!
  15. well definitely a cool start to September, whilst driving to Bradwell during a heavy shower the temp dropped to 8c this was at 1.30pm this afternoon
  16. Looks like a cell popped up from nowhere near chest field, impressive on radar
  17. yep very strange outside, looking West over the Peaks, looks quite stormy but not much on radar.
  18. saw a lot last night, from midnight through to 1.00am, about 1 every 3mins as an average. 3rd one I saw was pretty good, long trail lasted for several seconds, broke up into 3 or 4 clusters before fading, unfortunately the next hour was not as dramatic but great viewing. another clear night so might pop out again.
  19. like the look of that Map !! leaving the beautiful hills and dales of North Derbyshire tomorrow for 4 days in London, might see some good storms, fingers crossed
  20. Hello Paul and other Net weather followers, definitely a truly great night, first all nighter from me, or until 4.30am. even though the storms were great (although as some have said struggled to see forks here but constant lighting and thunder all round for 2 hours was enough. I find the waiting, and expectation as well as reading the comments from other members just as much fun. The family even asked me to wake them up, but no need, the thunder woke the whole town. lets hope we have some more, and it was great for the storms to effect such a big area.
  21. its getting tense now, seen lighting flashes and thunder rumbles for last 15mins, and most of storms are still due South 20 to 30miles away, from everyones reports it looks like a special night ahead, or should I say morning. should be the firing line for this lot.
