For me its better in the day time when I look across from Lancaster, see Coniston Old Man and know I'm nearly yam. I often do a lot of miles, regularly >1000/ week so it's a welcome sight!
Actually here it is a bit chilly, washed Mrs C's car earlier, started at 4C at about 5:30, when I'd washed it and took it for a run to dry it and got home, car was reading 2.5C...around 30 mins later. Hardly accurate I know but indicative.
A touch drier and a smidge cooler than average would suit this middle aged mammal! Drier so I don't have to bog trot when out walking, and a little cooler so I don't melt, much above 25C for me is a tad unnecessary.
Not that unusual at Easter though is it? Unless it falls in mid April, cooler weather at Easter is fairly standard, IIRC, 2013 was still giving ice days or close to it over the Easter weekend and the fells were in winter conditions throughout following the heavy snow the weekend before. Made for quite a few incidents on the hills for those not equipped for the conditions.
