It's really not that bad out there. As usual they take the decision early. There is a little bit of lying slush and all the surface frost has been taken out by that. It's actually safer out there today than last night.
As usual the comp closes and the little kids in Croesty tought it out. And there is absolutely no reason to close the comp today. There is a small amount of slush and that's it.
It's gone massively dark here all of a sudden and the clouds are black. Visibility seems to have gone. I think something's falling Cardiff way in a moment.
STUNNING day. Just done 5 miles, the first day of a 16 week marathon training plan. Best weather to run in for months. Crisp, dry, interesting to look around at lying snow, ice and frost. Wonderful sun. Air cleanest I've ever tasted. Just wonderful.
-6 here at the moment. Ice on the inside of the windscreen, windows AND rear view mirror (I have a leak which Toyota are fixing when the parts arrive). Took 20 minutes to sort out! Coldest I've known it here for some time. I suspect we'll go even lower this week!
It's January. And I've had three snowfalls. We have an established cold spell which will give us the chance. Let's talk about memorable when we have some memory of it!
It's also not mild and it's also not the case that everyone is sitting here looking for the slightest sign of any cold whatsoever. We are in a good position. Much better than previous years.
