    Hi JH I remember looking at some of these charts before the last cold spell ( the one and only one could argue) and they were suggest decent blocking ridging down from Greenland, sadly we didn't see that .

    Its not looking great , I think most ( me included) were hoping for a colder end to Winter with the help of a SW

    18z and 0z have started to show slight changes towards the end of the run , plenty of time for change IMO

    I'm not sure as he does mention the block into Greenland, he also say's " open the flood gates" but they already are in the States . I think he is hoping for something UK side

    Clearly GFS nothing like ECM or UKMO , the professionals are siding with the Euro's be interesting to see how this pans out

    I wouldn't disagree with that , the odd poster on TWO think the 0z runs are poor.......not sure who that can be the conclusion. As you say trends, and it does seem we are very slowly edging towards a different pattern

    It is an interesting end to the run, first signs of a change maybe?? I hear people say that GFS is good at picking up a change...............of course it could be just another tease ?
