Excellent Steve. I’m sure you’re all loving it! We’ve had more than enough snow in NW Ireland this winter so delighted to see other areas take a pummelling. Do you think this low pressure system will swing far enough north for us in NI?

Lovely big shower moving in to Omagh here. Feels odd seeing showers move in from the East rather than NW!

Have to have a wee laugh at all the contingency planning and freak outs on the radio recently. In January we had over a foot of snow in the NW and the radio etc didn't even mention it. Just occasional wintry showers possible. No motorways, no railways, no national planning haha! We're lucky we have the aul t'internet!

@snowydog yeah, I’ve lost count of the number of snow days we’ve had at elevation here in the West. This was by far the biggest. Over a foot lying in the garden. You don’t hear about it in the news cause it’s west of the Bann, we’re not too important over here haha!! Looks like these scenes will be coming your way next week! Will have to reschedule my work diary to get more days out east!

According to the 18z the low pushes the whole way through Ireland giving us a great pasting. However, look at this for Tuesday evening, even the west gets in on the action! You guys in the east are going to get buried! I have a feeling you'll be getting the 30cm plus I got on 19/01/2018! You'll need your farmer neighbours out to clear the roads!

Pretty decent streamer moving in over Derry. Any reports from there? Very heavy precipitation according to radar.

Nice one, Steve. This is an unprecedented winter for me since I moved up here. Completely lost count of number of lying snow days. Hoping you all get the Easterly you all crave, models on top troll mode this year!!

@booferking This is truly an epic winter for snow. It's got to the stage how were I didnt even open the curtains this week when snow was hammering down. I never thought that would be the case. My metal shed roof has collapsed at the front (neighbours too) due to the weight of snow from a few weeks back! On another note, Im working in Clifden in Co Galway today. This part of the world is phenomenal. The views around Leenane are out of this world. My photograph off crap work phone doesn't do it justice.

Just rain here in Omagh, although it's barely even a drizzle.

Roads pretty much all clear but not too much melt around the garden/fields. Showers dying a good bit when moving inland, don't expect much through rest of the night, tbh. Much action round your way?

Lovely heavy shower falling in Omagh now. I've had a very busy few days so haven't kept up to speed on the models. Can anyone give me a heads up on what to expect over the coming days?
