  1. 100% full on blizzard now, have never seen snow like this. Huge wind blowing it in!
  2. That would be epic, not far off that now where drifting is occuring. Radar looks excellent. What's your thoughts on our snow chances with tomorrow night's low?
  3. The big question is, has @Rocheydub's snow shield been breached???
  4. Drifting already building up against walls etc.
  5. Total white out here with showers lining up to come in. This is the best snow I've seen in years!
  6. Just came into carrickmore, at least 4-5 inches of snow. I live a bit higher up too so can't wait to see there!
  7. This approaching squall looks almost apocalyptic.2
  8. Parked up above carrickmore looking west to Donegal. That huge shower is movingly east. Great view watching the snow line moving across the country. Looks like the the white walkers on the march!
  9. Check out the lighting off the coast of Donegal, could be a good chance of widespread thunder snow!
  10. Left work early today, this is the road home above Carrickmore .
  11. stained glass windowing oil ran out this morning so haven't had a chance to post. We'd a good inch or so lying this morning. In Lisburn now, nothing when I arrived but a good covering here now too. Loving met updates!
  12. Proper heavy dry snow now, car roofs starting to turn white!
  13. Just had first proper wet snow shower pass through, only downside is the ground is absolutely drenched outside. Hopefully we can get a bit of a freeze between showers later. The exciting thing for me is how intense the showers are, there's very little decay as they are moving west to east. This is a good sign for widespread coverage.
  14. Great models this evening, in fact the ECM has thrown in a slider for early Saturday morning for the craic!
  15. It's snowing here! Although ground stil saturated, will take some good snow showers to cool the ground temps to allow snow to start to accumulate.
  16. Always enjoy @carinthian's updates on model thread. Hope you don't mind me referencing you! I like the sound of a weaker feature with a more southerly track! Their shorter range model still has some concern about the low to enter the UK mid week, however the model is showing a disturbance in the flow rather than a full on low at this stage of proceedings. So a bit more southerly track envisaged but open to lot of uncertainty.
  17. Just rain in Lisburn at the minute, due to be delivering training here tomorrow too. Already been pre warning the group about potential no show tomorrow!
  18. Wouldn't worry about the wet ground, dew points are going to be very favourable so snow will settle readily, especially in the heavy showers. The BBC forecast this morning looks epic tomorrow, have rarely seen such intense and widespread showers predicted. All of Ireland should see something decent. Fingers crossed that low swings in a bit further south, however, I feel it's getting too late for this to give us snow.
  19. Bit crap that the low pulls up the warm uppers for that short window on Wednesday, however, there are some very cold NW winds brought back in from early Thursday morning through to Saturday lunchtime.
  20. What link do you use for Euro4, MS?
  21. Snowydog, Dennis posted a useful image on the model thread regarding this topic.
  22. Just been out for a walk, it was much colder than I expected!
  23. Just our luck that the previous sliders ran south giving us a last minute dodge And now this one moves north. However, we two to three days of great snow potential followed by a cold flow when the low moves through. Most of The guys in England would give their right arm for our setup this week!
