  1. We had a slight thaw, nothing much at all. School still ploughed on last two days as they closed for weather twice in December! Snow ploughs created snow banks on the road out of the village. Met a car on way to work and ended up touching my nearside wheel off the bank. Almost lost control at 45 mph. Contemplated going back home to change the drawers!!! Here's a pic I took dropping kids off to school. Solid 5 inches on the ground.
  2. Looks like the precipitation is finally dying out now over Donegal. I'm getting the last of the very heavy snow band. That will be over 6 hours of intense snow this evening. Probably the best continuous snow I've seen. How long will it be until the showers start feeding in behind the front when it passes east? Or is that being greedy? Haha.
  3. If you watch the loop on netweather radar you can see the NW edge of the precipitation continually pepping up and pushing back east through NI, wonder how long it will continue?
  4. What's the story with the next few days? Been too busy here and radar watching to keep up to speed.
  5. There's few houses for sale once my estate if you fancy moving to Co Tyrone haha!
  6. @Rocheydub Check out my video on the last page!
  7. I've hit the jackpot, still hammering it down here. Over three inches since 6.30pm! Still had 4-5 inches lying since yesterday too.
  8. I've went out and checked, 2.5 inches in last few hours!
  9. Still absolutely hammering down here, been over to carrickmore and it's a total white out.
  10. Ironically the radar showed me under pink earlier with heavy rain, now showing rain/sleet and it's been flat out snowing!
  11. Lads, if you get snow from this front you'll be buried. It's very intense. Started as rain for me and changed to extremely heavy snow within minutes. Absolutely chucking it down for last hour here in central Ulster.
  12. How long is this precipitation going to hang around?
  13. Really heavy and absolute massive flakes! Was not expecting this to be honest.
  14. Latest reports from Omagh = RAIN RAIN RAIN No sign of any hint of sleet at all! Heading home now shortly so will be interesting to see if the 100m increase in altitude will make any difference.
  15. Intensity dropped a good bit and plain old rain here at 72m asl!
  16. Precipitation now getting very heavy and I can confirm it is definitely getting more wintry. Not proper sleet but def white flakes within the rain. Should be better at home 100m higher.
  17. Well that pink blob is heading straight to Omagh. I'm sitting in my office looking out the window so I'll report back in 15 mins. All rain here at the minute.
  18. You know it's a good event when you get bored of lamppost watching! *runs for cover*
