  1. Looking at that warning and the PPN reminds me a bit of March 2013 when you got absolutely pasted and most in the west saw fcek all!
  2. Interesting feature setting up now for those in the east...already turning wintry on the western flank and whether warning has the S word in for later this evening. MS you could be well placed with a bit of elevation in Carryduff.
  3. That large wedge of PPN in Northern Scotland does appear to be heading our way, it'seems filling out towards the west rather than moving down the east coast of Britain.
  4. I have hit the jackpot, in the best place possible for that latest band of snow. Heaviest I've seen in a long time. Good 5cm on grass now!! Here's a video from 25 mins ago.
  5. Snow is coming down well in Omagh now, can no longer see the Sperrins as they are in white out!
  6. Haha wouldn't you know, that intense shower completely disintegrated as soon as it hit the border!!
  7. You appear to be right on the northern flank of it so maybe PPN not as intense, you look like you'll do better out of the showers following directly behind.
  8. ...and here is a pic of that large shower structure moving directly towards Omagh. Should hit here in 20 mins or so. Looks to be nice beefy showers lining up behind it too looking at the radar.
  9. Bit more bite to the showers moving in from the NW now...
  10. This is more like it, hefty shower incoming from the NW. Really hope that we get something more this evening.
  11. Lying snow with us now, here's a shower that ran through an hour ago. Hoping for a good 24hrs ahead!
  12. Definitely appears to be cooking down outside, showers starting to beef up and our first red (for snow) on the radar. The fun begins now?
  13. Most forecasts have the snow arriving around 10/11pm tonight. The BBC weather at 7pm showed some pretty intense showers plus bands of snow pushing in the north and west tomorrow which stretched the length and breadth of the country. @Rocheydub, looks like you may even see an odd flake or two as well!!
  14. Just saw total accumulation maps (for next 48hrs) from latest euro4 model. Think I peed myself a little!
  15. Haha just saw that myself, Pom. Looks great for us in the west but all will see snow at some point in the North. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/mobile/video/
  16. Just realised after posting that it was from a 'rival' weather forecasting company so netweather must block links to their material.
  17. Check out the following hi res charts for upcoming cold spell, looks like most of Ireland will do very well. Starting from tomorrow night through to Thursday night (hI res only goes to 11pm tomorrow as of yet) http://www.null/null-3km-model-viewer/
  18. Now that's encouraging, I find the euro4 tends to be pretty accurate.
  19. Liking that they've included Monaghan in their warning, shows us that showers should penetrate well inland.
  20. Some wind up merchant at the met having a right laugh!
  21. Doesn't appear to be as much potency in the high resolution models I'm viewing over the next few days. I had initially thought 15cm for my area but think it'll be more like 5-10cm at best. Always hard to tell how far inland the showers will punch. On the other hand, Met IE mention the possibility of cold Siberian air moving in from the east next week. Could be good for you guys who miss out from the PM airmass.
