  1. Nothing too heavy here. Just steady wet, which is what the garden needs. Had cause to plant something a short while ago. Still dry a few inches down.
  2. This seems a good idea. What would we do if there was no Trump? Trump’s plans to use nuclear weapons on hurricanes challenged in new Democratic bill APPLE.NEWS In August, Donald Trump reportedly asked top national security officials to consider using nuclear bombs to weaken or destroy hurricanes. Now, one member of Congress wants to make it illegal for Mr Trump, or...
  3. Darn! Blossom coming out on plums and nectarines.
  4. Was mentioned in the prime ministers news conference both yesterday and today.
  5. Yes you might be right or wrong. Unfortunately I expect they didn’t ask for your phone number any more than mine for the advice we could have given. Not sure if we get a qualification for knowing best by being on this thread. I am sure we are both right. Well sort of
  6. Really hope you are ok and will be giving an update of your condition as it proceeds
  7. Or speaks of a thousand dinosaur EDIT Oh dear i forgot the rude word police. I was talking about the hole in your backside where all the poo comes out
  8. If someone catches coronavirus and it is an average illness how long is the person likely to be off work? Appreciate it all depends. There is going to be a period of illness followed by recovery so you are well enough to continue with daily life.
  9. I get the worry about loo rolls as it is part of one of the most personal things in life - wiping your backside and dealing with your private parts. It tends to be one step away from incontinence which we all fear. Been cleaning out the greenhouse, sowing seeds for the coming months.
  10. Probably mini ventilators for small people.
  11. So would our grand children but there are far too many dregs of humanity would just say I don’t give a toss and stuff you. On occasions I find it difficult to treat everybody equally.
  12. What’s that? Sorry just twigged on. Bing a bit slow.
  13. Yes rubbish getting old. It really gets to the point when you begin to wonder why so much is done to try extend an unhappy life. I know my mother was saying years ago “oh wish I could die I hate what is happening to me“. Now she has turned into a 105 year old doubly incontinent eating and sleeping machine.
  14. Schools for key workers a good idea. But then of course who is a key worker? Yet more arguments how far it is extended.
  15. Yes they love their grandparents and don’t just treat them as child carers. Only slightly joking.
  16. Perhaps I can take up the skills I learnt from my blacksmith grandfather and make a killing flogging shackles and chains. Funny that the argument for closing schools has been turned on its head to some degree. Once again no one answer fits all.
  17. One of the problems of closing schools is what to do with the little darlings. Let them wander round in rabid packs might not be the best answer?
  18. Whole heartedly agree. Yes medications are important but keep personal medical conditions as far as possible out of it. There is bound to be an increasing overlap as many will be infected so we will all be interested on how they get on.
  19. Dramatic and extremely regular posts day in and day out. I am getting fed up with wading through page after page of posts that have little to do with coronavirus. Speculation is good but it shouldn’t be to the detriment of the rest of the thread. If you can’t see that I am sorry.
  20. Yes you seem very keen to help, which all appreciate. On topic, as far as possible, would be good.
  21. It is very good that you are giving your time and advice from the apparent experience you have. But would it not be better to start a new thread “Ailments I know and love”? There seems to be too many on here caught up with their own preexisting ailments. We all have medical conditions but not all us go round and round in circles trying to discuss them with a crowd of strangers. I would much prefer this thread to be good information about the spread of this virus and not a huge speculation drama shop by those who are not qualified to make pronouncements about medical conditions.
  22. Not sure as to the accuracy of this story Medical company threatens to sue volunteers that 3D-printed valves for life-saving coronavirus treatments APPLE.NEWS The valve typically costs about $11,000 — the volunteers made them for about $1
  23. Should you change your name to Demis Roussos?
