  1. Oh dear. Sorry. Never good reading on a phone as you miss things.
  2. Too right! Turned into a gossip and rumour thread
  3. All getting a bit heated on here. Be pistols at dawn next.
  4. Any actual news about the virus? Is it steady as you go for the moment? WHO’s latest situation report.
  5. Just confirmed my booking for the family to have my birthday lunch at a Chinese restaurant on Sunday. All my family and friends are aware and continue to monitor the situation. Buckets of sand are available for the placement of heads for those that need it.
  6. Problem is some people are happy in living in absolute filth. Recall doing a valuation of some 2,000 properties throughout southern England for a Housing Assiciation. One in particular sticks in my mind. As soon as you went inside you stopped breathing through your nose. Amongst other things the bloke who lived there took pride in peeing into bottles and leaving them about the place. On worktops, shelves floor and mantle. What was most nauseating was the WC pan had the top broken off but was still being used. It looked a bit like a mud volcano. My report concluded with the comment that this was the sort of property that you wiped your feet as you leave. Of course I am sure the occupier regularly washed his hands. I went home and had a long hot shower.
  7. Who do we believe? https://www.airvisual.com/china/beijing Air Quality Beijing | Live Air Quality and Pollution Forecasts AIR.PLUMELABS.COM Real-time levels and forecasts of Particulate Matter (PM2.5, PM10), Ozone (O3) and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) in Beijing. The air quality report by Plume Labs.
  8. If all this comes to something that is not too bad I get the impression some might be very disappointed.
  9. Was panic buying at the supermarket this morning. Mainly comprised of harassed blokes buying flowers and boxes of chocolates. To ward off an outbreak from their beloved I expect. There was no shortage of anything. A normal day for Friday.
  10. Thank you for letting us know your feelings. So I know what you mean can you indicate any country in the world that satisfies your wish for a non capitalist society that functions.
  11. I can see a mode of travel raises the risks but you cannot say the lady in row 69 was the cause of any illness. Steve Walsh showed no symptoms apparently but infected unexpectedly a lot of people Britain's race to contain the coronavirus https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-51481210
  12. Coronavirus symptoms: what to look for, who to contact and how to treat it WWW.TELEGRAPH.CO.UK China’s new coronavirus is spreading fast.
  13. Find it difficult to agree. Hope the medical profession conduct an assessment that is not so full of holes. Obviously the easiest thing you should do is not travel if you consider infections a problem for you.
  14. You seem convinced that you know precisely where you caught your infections. Think that could be far from right. I have a cough that has nothing to do with an infection. Obviously I follow a good hygiene regime out of respect for those in close proximity for no other reason.
  15. Seen posters put up about my area. Ok it could be better but to have missed what is being said on TV and in the media generally you have to be pretty switched off. Gets to the point that some might need their backside wiped.
  16. I’ve seen plenty of information about what steps you should take to protect yourself and others. Possibly one of the biggest problems is some individuals couldn’t care. Unless of course they are infected then it is clearly someone else’s fault. Fault blaming seems to be rife.
  17. Not quite sure what point you are trying to make.
  18. It is also prudent to consider being a country or even a person who only has one skill. Teams are all very well but those who survive must have multi skills.
  19. How the killer coronavirus compares to SARS, swine flu and Ebola: Interactive map | Daily Mail Online WWW.DAILYMAIL.CO.UK The map tracks the lethal flu-like infection, which has killed more than 1,300 people and infected 60,000 - mostly in China - and pits it against SARS in 2003, swine flu in 2009 and Ebola in 2014.
  20. Big increase in cases now being reported from China. No surprise for most of us on here. Never did seem right.
  21. The advice concerning coughing or sneezing into a tissue how practical is it? If you are out and about do you just chuck it on the ground? In a cinema or elsewhere where there are no bins put it in you pocket? If yes no difference from using an ordinary handkerchief.
  22. I’d be more concerned if a terrorist plot was involved.
  23. Off for some patient roll playing at the local medical school. My script indicates I have chest problems since starting work at a plastics factory (probably Wuhan Plastics). The student doctor’s will have the opportunity to sound my chest in their assessment. As I have a cough already goodness knows what they will find wrong me.
