  1. Could it be the Chinese human make up makes them more prone than other races? We have all heard of the supposed positives of a Mediterranean diet for lower heart disease. Time will tell if are all basically in the same pot or not.
  2. As mentioned to Swebby had it checked out over the years. Not stressed just fed up with it. I am not the sort who is scared of going to the doctors. Had a lot worse than a cough to contend with over the years. Having said that I only go when needed. Have a good working relationship with my doctor. As getting appointments can be a pain she said just ring and she will ring back instead of making an appointment if it is something that can just be reasonably discussed on the phone. Quite interesting doing my volunteering at the medical school. Last week I was a there as a patient that the student doctors had to review and assess me. Had a script about my symptoms. The script happened to indicate I had a cough. I was poked, pummelled, and tested. Some were good and others useless even allowing for their age and inexperience. An enjoyable volunteering job. Sure beats working in the gardens at a National Trust property this time of the year.
  3. Thanks. All checked out over the years. Xrays, allergy tests, ears nose and throat specialist. Had the problem for as long as I can remember. Basically a rhinitis problem.
  4. I went in a cruise and came back early January. I have a cough and some tightness of chest. Should I be concerned? I think not for a number of reasons. First of all I had a cough before I left sunny Essex. Travelled to Barcelona and ended up at exotic Tilbury. I don’t intend going to the doctors as I have had cough checked out before. If this all gets more obviously serious I will be loath to go out as a fearful and accusing eyes might be directed towards me. Nobody likes anyone coughing. Particularly me.
  5. As far as many are concerned if it does not impact on them directly it a matter of out of sight and out of mind. Limited imagination comes to mind. Well more important social media stuff is in control. It makes me so sad that so many seem so detached from the real world. But of course if there is a problem affecting them it is someone else’s fault.
  6. I hear that Extinction Rebellion is requiring all future trade to be done by clipper ships. Should ensure everyone on it is dead if there is a plague on board. Not sure Amazon would agree. Don’t they have real jobs?
  7. As for me years of writing reports where I know those getting them wanted to get to the nitty gritty ASAP.
  8. Suppose he could have said everything that was needed in a couple of minutes.
  9. Booked your next cruise? Experts ponder why cruise ship quarantine failed in Japan APPLE.NEWS An extraordinary two-week quarantine of a cruise ship is ending in Japan, and many scientists say it has been a failure
  10. What do we believe? Coronavirus: How a misleading map went global APPLE.NEWS A British university says "an incorrect story... spiralled" from its research into the virus's spread.
  11. Sorry I have a severe case of hatism. I am Woke to the problem.
  12. Can’t trust anyone who wears a cap like that. Looks like a cross between Michael Cain and Steptoe.
  13. Not sickly but was he working in close proximity to those infected before it was known how contagious it was?
  14. Squall line just gone through. To be honest a couple minutes of heavyish rain. Nothing at all memorable.
  15. Really dislike foxes. Excrement everywhere and kill hedgehogs I have rehomed. IMG_2369.mov
  16. I suppose one of the words Colette could say is off. Even though money and duty is not the same. The worse thing in life for many is your best efforts are ignored. Hopefully being with you and not working is better than being at work. But we all need a change of scene to keep us sane. Sorry but I am very annoyed by people being misused.
  17. Anyway there has been a great big crash outside so I better go and investigate. As far as the weather is concerned not a relaxing evening. Chainsaw and tools are as ever ready for action. Not sure the operator is after having had a bottle of his homemade beer.
  18. What someone has laid a nice looking patio?
  19. Well fascinated by the possibility of an event to remember. Let’s hope they are all stone cold sober so they are not an example for everyone else .
  20. Still think the shared air conditioning system on board may have a role to play.
  21. It remains puzzling why China has been hit so hard. Because a big pool of cases built up before they did anything much? Or what? Don’t want to be lulled into a false sense of security
