  1. Really looking forward to the up coming cold snap, great weather for getting out in!!
  2. To early to come to any conclusion in my opinion, mother nature will always out fox us when it comes to predictions.
  3. Clear blue sky morning in sheffield,6c and not a hint of fog
  4. i agree,my wording was probably wrong. Always looking for for that interesting weather and any thing knocking on to a record must be classed as that! Even though its not my perference!
  5. Very true, mother nature has a habit of balancing things out. Totally sick of this boring weather, need a change!
  6. 38.8mm rain total in Sheffield since midnight,
  7. Me thinks the likely hood of that occuring is very slim this winter,to many general indicators of a switch to a colder trend
  8. Loving these cooler mornings, perfect for getting out on a sunday morning walk,so much better than the heat and humidity of summer, everything smells and feels so much fresher, makes you want to get out and about!
  9. http://edelweissspitze.panomax.com/ Looking very nice on Austria's highest pass today
  10. Sorry your humour is lost on me,doesn't bother me when you put your heating on! As you said its your money. Everybody to their own.
  11. Everybody has their own tolerance and threshold of comfort, some people feel very uncomfortable in heat,i just can't tolerate it for being comfortable,i work in 35c conditions most days so have got used to it but still find any sort of hot weather unpleasant. My tolerance is cold, not being tough or hardman, just some people tolerate temperatures differently. Needless to say my heating bill is always very low which is a big plus for me!!
  12. http://edelweissspitze.panomax.com/ Yesterday the Grossglockner was clear, early snow this year.
  13. Not a chance,no where near cold enough yet even to think about heating!
  14. If that comes off it would make a perfect October! How autumn should be
  15. Couldn't agree more, the summer posts and comments are by far more accurate and informative, the winter months seem to bring out the straw clutching chumps who are here just to wind people up.
  16. Looking like a decent set up weather wise for next 5days,cool mornings and gentle warmth by the afternoon, who could complain at that!
  17. Totally agree, the advancement in computer technology has made modern day forecasting so much more reliable. The interpretation of the data has also improved beyond anything that could be imagined 20 years ago but the uk climate is so fickle any forecast or chart more than 5 days should only ever be seen as a guide,to many variables come into play at that range.
  18. imo the charts are just a very loose guide as to what may happen, anything over 5 days is just guess work, cold or hot weather it makes no difference. We are a island nation in possible the most unpredictable location on earth weather wise, thats what makes it so enjoyable!
  19. No real sign of any settled weather in the next reliable time frame, proper autumn fair. Charts more than 5 days out are basically just straw clutching imo.
  20. Any thing over 30c is oppressive in my opinion, just a waste of a day when it gets as high as that. Its not heat intolerance I work as a autoclave engineer so 35c to 40c with 100% humidity is a normal working day for me.
  21. September is by far one of the best months of the year. Less chance of extreme heat, more usable weather coupled with interesting weather at times! Totally different to high summer when oppressive heat can stop you getting out and about.
  22. Lovely start to the day! 8.9c fresh and comfortable for walking!
  23. Thanks for the welcome, changed my settings now. Looking forward to the banter along the way on the journey!
  24. Many thanks....and mad house is a very apt term me thinks! But enjoyable mad house!
