  1. Even i must agree,a tad cool in my neck of the woods for the last to days, still don't buy into any kind of big heat build up in june at all,may get localised heat for day or two but nothing sustained.
  2. I think any forecast at that range should be taken with a huge pinch of salt, next week may see high temps but very locally confineded to the south east.
  3. Disagree strongly i'm afraid regarding the best time of the year, total waste of the best part of the day when sunrise is 4:30 am!!
  4. Very much would depend on your location, its like getting sub -5c temps in winter, will only occur in certain areas.
  5. Me thinks 30c will be a rare beast this year on our shores,by the looks of things we could be heading for a cool typical uk summer.
  6. To be honest probably true, tad nippy i would agree with. Felt fresh with a touch of blue sky for a change!
  7. This morning was just about perfect for getting out and about, come lunch much warmer, surely a day to suit everybody?
  8. Feels lovely today, nice walk, car washed all at 11c, nice hazy sunshine, just about perfect.
  9. One can live in hope though of that wonderful return to not being woken up at a crazy hour by the sunshine bursting through your curtains! A sunrise is the best part of the day and is totally wasted in the summer months. Driving into work watching the beauty of the sun even on a semi cloudy day showing its hand for the first time just puts one in such a good mood.
  10. Only 3 weeks to go then the nights start getting longer, very happy chappy!! But i suspect in the minority!
  11. Personally not a bad spring for me,just about coping with the old hayfever thanks to the lower pollen levels due to mixed weather. I'm sure many are frustrated, don't be downcast it will get better and my discomfort will increase!
  12. Sorry but i say how i find it,been so many times to spain and associated islands, have never felt uncomfortable,i was in the eastern med a few years ago,40plus,hot but ok. I feel it may be a transition issue between cooler to hot spells that may be why it feels so uncomfortable in the uk at times but that does not explain my point regarding the effect on aircon units,in this country the coolant plant parts of them produce way more condensed moisture than in southern climates.
  13. Disagree I'm afraid. Why then does your car aircon never puddle condensation in spain or the south of france, areas I have driven many times, but in the uk on this hot "low humidy" days in the uk most aircon plants on cars condense heavily, checkout any supermarket carpark on these days, you'll see what I mean. Also this applies to mobile aircon units, they fill there water tanks at a much higher rate in this country than abroad. They take the moisture out of the air,so stands to reason the humidity levels must be at a higher level
  14. Well i'm safe then, with headlines like that it'll be snowing in 8 days no doubt.
  15. Very true,a summer without our spainish friend not turning up wouldn't be the same, bit like having that annoying uncle who visits once a year and you just can't wait to get rid of him! Agree totally the thunder activity they bring is the plus side, just one has to suffer the discomfort first to enjoy the display.
  16. Hoping for that average summer minus those dreaded spanish plumes, may they stay firmly stuck on those plains in spain!
  17. With the onset of summer due just hoping for a varied and proper summer for once, though chances are this is just a pipe dream. Just a bit for everybody would be a change and not this awful run of stagnant weather setups which have been the norm for to long. We all love the weather, everybodies ideal will vary but that's the interesting point surely?
  18. Everybody to their own opinion, you must be very lucky in you tolerance to heat and the effects of the sun,the vast majority are not so lucky. Uv can burn at any temperature, purely a skin type issue, some people find 25ish plus the max to be comfortable. And how you can state 33c in this country is not to bad especially for sleeping is very strange to me!
  19. Totally agree,i work in a industry were the conditions are very humid,i've worked in the eastern part of the states a couple of times and found the much higher temps coupled with low humidity much more comfortable(relatively) than a 25c plus day in the uk with high humidity. Some people cope better with humidity than others, but again i have to say its subjective to who you are and to say this isn't true i'm afraid is very wrong in my opinion.
  20. I know why they say hell is hot, that would be my hell!! No idea how you cope with that extreme, makes my pitiful moans about our weather seem trivial.
  21. To be honest i think most people would enjoy a country walk in 12c and sunny rather than 22c and sunny and that's down to just how much more comfortable the lower temps are for that kind of activity. Agree 12c would be tad low for sitting out in especially with a good breeze but for getting out and about the slightly lower temperature makes things so much more pleasant. Car travel is a case in point,i spend most of my day jumping in and out of the car and believe me a car sat in 22c soon becomes a very, very nasty place to be in! 40c plus is not fun.
  22. Disagree totally i'm afraid, today has been so much more useable weather wise,it is very 'nice' weather which i'm sure the majority would agree with! Weather preferences are subjective and each person has their own opinion, this is not being detached from reality its just their own choice. Seen a lot more people out today than last weekend but that may just be a coincidence. Also way more garden activity but thats probably down to just long grass!!
  23. What a fantastic morning, clear skies, back garden trees look like they've had a good snow fall with the amount of blossom on them, looking stunning(between the hayfever sneezing!). Would have to say probably a perfect spring day.
  24. So much better weather today for working, fresher and really easy to get on with things. Don't get me wrong a shocking day in many areas if your lucky enough not to be working, but working in warm to hot temps in a car is no fun. Hoping to be honest that this cool spell is not a sign of the up coming summer,we need the warmth and settled weather in the up coming months for all the normal people to enjoy!! Every season should be defined and this has proved so ni on impossible for way to long due to our total screwing up of our incredible planet.
  25. This weather makes working so much harder, mid morning and i'm knackered, banging headache and way way to hot,not my cup of tea at all, hope is on the horizon though so fingers crossed for cooling off soon.
