  1. Yep i totally agree it certainly seems that way....my goodness i've actually agreed with you for once!
  2. Woke to thick fog...it is june isn't it?? At least no one say at the moment our weather isn't varied!
  3. My side of the Pennines has been a so much better today, must be a variation due to to the location. Not got much above 16c here, agree last night wasn't to good sleeping wise but it did cool down towards dawn which made it so much more easy to have that lie in!
  4. Strange that,Feels a lot fresher by me ,just got to 13c so sounds like a local thing,to be honest i don't hold much virtue to the media forecasts,i find it's much better to listen to the guy's on this site, including yourself who provide a much better picture of the upcoming weather. I travel over 50k a year with my job and the difference in forecast and actual weather can be markedly different to that shown through main stream media. Suppose that's the enjoyment of our wonderful climate.......ok that may be pushing it!
  5. The humidity of the last several days has been replaced by fresher more comfortable conditions this morning,a welcome change for myself if not for many who prefer that type of weather,i just think you can do a lot more in these slightly lower temps/humid days than in the last week,i certainly have lost the headache and feel more energised! May actually have to do those house jobs i've put off doing last week!
  6. I feel like a broken record. Fact people go abroad to enjoy the weather and culture when they are on holiday, that i totally get,i've done it many times to hot countries and enjoyed it. Drink by the pool, lazy days yep i get it. Fact having to work in humid(yes this is humid i should know due to my job) coupled with the increase in temp makes this weather simply more tiring, the majority would agree, To call this whining proves my point is way off the mark, insulting in fact.,we are all entitled to our opinion, not to be mocked. Where the 10 layers of clothes and the 9 months comes from i have no idea i take it it's just a figure of speech. Oh and yes and before you have a rant i to would not say no to a heatwave....if only to keep you happy!!
  7. Fingers crossed that's the last of the shocking nights for sleeping. Before 6am 18c and v humid, roll on the atlantic freshness! Going to need match's today to keep my eyes open!
  8. Seriously! You really do not get it at all. Everybody is different, low to mid 20's is more than enough for most people in my opinion,i work across the country and find more or less the same agreement. As for doing hard work outdoors i'm pretty sure the majority of workers would enjoy temps lower than mid 20's. This is my opinion though! Getting bit frustrated when the " Are you kidding brigade" rear their head and state the vast majority agrees with them. Getting a bit boring. Sorry.
  9. Agree,in my opinion next week won't be as tiring and more comfortable but it is summer and many people do enjoy low to mid twenties so long as they aren't doing any physical work. There is a huge difference in a work day and a non working day when higher temps/humidity is involved I find, but it's a individual thing and one cap does not fit all by any means! Likewise regarding the autumn,my favourite season by far but a heck of a lot of people depend on the summer months for their living.
  10. Very well put, some people just have no tolerance over how other people react to various types of weather. They are right and that's it. A very strange way of expressing themselves in my opinion.
  11. Let me get this very straight,my job entails working in conditions you would never ever be able to cope with,i have to be timed at certain sites entrance and exit due to health and safety,my working day is obviously so much more extreme than your comment stressed flower is way off the mark. I have to take salt solutions on 3 customers sites!! Suspect your job is very desk bound and not in anyway physical!
  12. Banging headache, can't stop sneezing(even with tablets),wonder why summer is not my season. Very humid today more so than yesterday where i was, really can't wait for this crap to go. Does nobody any good at all if they have to work in it. Every single customer i've been to for the last 2 days has complained how uncomfortable it is so it's not just me being a old fart who bangs on about how he hates the heat!!
  13. What a awful night for sleeping, would have had that wistful dream of a frosty winters morn if i'd actually been able able to get to flipping sleep!! Here's hoping to a improvement and the drop in night time temps continues well into the coming weeks. This is the main reason i hate summer months,it just makes going to work so much harder after such broken sleep.
  14. We will see and then i will be shot down in flames for my opinion!
  15. Looking like rest of june will be hit and miss for those chasing heat, very much like winter and the cold lovers. Early to make any proper predication but i would probably hedge my bet that we've seen the highest temps nationwide for this summer. Don't get me wrong local temps could top this easily top this but as for a sustained period of 25plus temps covering most areas i personally would bet against. Just a gut feeling with the way the mobility of the weather is becoming more and more unpredictable. Could be talking b******s though which i'm sure many on here would agree with!!
  16. Oh yes, very much the same, hate the stuffiness of the warm night, even with a fan on it makes little difference. And when our little friends start stretching their wings it makes one yearn for those cool autumn mornings!
  17. Looks like it will be a very uncomfortable night tonight, just what I could do without. The joy of summer is just so wonderful!
  18. I would move the 24-27 to hot and the 28+ to very unpleasant!
  19. Saw 26c today in birmingham, that's the max in my opinion working in before it just becomes vile, jumping into a car at 47c is not fun!!!
  20. Just hit 19.5c,perfect summers day blue sky nice temp and slight breeze, what's not to like! Well below the forecast temps again by about 4 to 5 degrees,to much is made of the operational runs regarding temps in both summer and winter in my opinion, very often they are wide of the mark.Make the most of this as by mid week i suspect a change will be starting to creep in.
  21. Really nice morning here, sun just breaking through 12c,much less humid, enjoyable weather to say the least!
  22. I work in 100% humidity conditions with my job so fully understand humidity and with temps over 90c in the rooms i'm in makes one very attuned to feeling the uncomfortable nature of humidity. On my days off the last thing i can tolerate is any kind of humidity. Hate it and nothing to do with health or weight thank you.
  23. As with the winter forecasts i feel that the operational charts always play to the extreme of the possible outcomes, very very rarely do these come off. Localised temps in my area will be below those forecast in my opinion. But i could be wrong!
  24. I suspect these forcasts may be over cooking it for the midlands northwards, forcast 23c today by me,just scrapped 18c now and full cloud. Fact it will warm up but for many not much higher than low twenties i bet. Further south yes it will be warmer but even this won't be long lasting.
  25. I think we can safely say today is humid and uncomfortable. No way is this enjoyable!
