  3. Another cold day with temperatures struggling to rise. Sunny spells with lighter than expected winds and dry as expected. Temp High so far 14.2C Barometer 1012mb rising Wind F2 SSW Rainfall 0.2mm
  4. Yesterday brought Sheffield's average down from 16.4C to 15.4C. A very cold day with a high only of 12.2C and a cool night into the measure as well. Still well above average thought at +1.7C Expect a big fall of CET by Monday then.
  5. A cool start to the day with early mist lifting and sunny spells Temp 9.4C Barometer 1009mb Rising Wind SSE F2 Rainfall since midnight 0.2mm
  6. Got to admit I'm not been too impressed with the differences between GFS models runs this week. For Saturday the afternoon run has always had the rain further east than the morning run so Saturday here has been going from dry to wet here every day. So this morning had it dry now the 12 oz has a wet afternoon. We're now 24hrs away which is silly. Apart from that it's looking like an autumnal week coming up with some impressive cool night in the mix at times.
  7. A cold very wet day for the time of year. Max temp 12.2C Barometer 1006mb falling Wind F2 N Rainfall 21.6mm according to the Davis.
  8. Met office need to update the warnings page. Needs moving North and West on Saturday. We've now got the silly sit where every forecast is now saying mostly dry here perhaps an light shower and yet a warning for heavy rain which looked wrong by yesterday evening. Heavy rain hasn't turned up here so far models suggest nine o'clock for that we shall see.
  9. A dull cloudy start with some light overnight rain odd spot now. Temp 12.3C Barometer 1007mb steady Wind F2 NNe Rainfall 0.2mm
  10. Differences again in the latest GFS pushing the rain further south once again for Saturday. So we've gone from dry to wet again. Guess we will have to wait until tomorrow to firm up the details.
  11. Interesting that NMM placement of the rain suggests the Met Office need to adjust the Saturday warning. Fridays as well possibly if the NMM is right. For us though once Friday is out of the way it doesn't look too bad.
  12. Well the warnings of doom are gathering apace which will probably mean tonight and tomorrows rain event will be a damp squib. Forgive the pun. Interesting no amounts being given as yet which is the way I prefer it. Anyway plenty of Radar watching and ears open to listen to the rain on the roof.

  16. Can I have a late entry due to being in hospital and losing track of the time. 13.8C
  17. That's why it's FI land. Since a big divergence starts much earlier I wouldn't take much notice of the charts and would expect a lot of chopping and changing to in the period from T120 from both models.
  18. Unfortunately the NMM has been reliable for me either when I've used in the past. Gets it wrong probably more times than it gets it right.

  24. A dry start with patchy cloud temps around normal and dry Temp 12.1C Barometer 1020mb falling Wind SW F2 Rainfall Nil
