  4. There is a cloudy sky which is very slowly brightening up. It stopped raining earlier in the morning at 09:00 am and will be getting more rain in 12 hours time. Thurrock has had more than their fare share of rain and many of the fields are flooded with rain.

  9. I live in a council maisonette flat with and do not get snow falling from the roof due as it is not insulated. I have very sensitive hearing and would have easily heard snow blow off the roof. It looked like it was snow heavier in the front garden and lighter in the back garden.
  10. Last night it seemed to be snowing heavier in the front garden facing the street than in my back garden. Later on in the night the snow stopped falling in my back garden but was continuing in the front garden. This morning I found that I have snow in my front garden than my back garden.
  11. I live in Thurrock and the Met Office Weather station which covers my area is in Greenhithe in Kent. When there was an amber warning for snow for Tuesday 27th February but we hardly got any but Greenhithe did get more heavy snowfall. Kent has always got snow than Essex. This is not a criticism more of an observation. I wonder if it would be more for Essex to have their own weather station. We got our heavy snow a day later. Thurrock and Kent are divided by the river Thames and there is a least 8 miles between South Ockendon and Greenhithe as the M25 is two or three miles away from where I live.
  12. The definition that I found on the internet is what the temperature feels like. I got the weather data from the Thurrock Weather station website which is based in Tilbury.
  13. It has been snowing since 7 am and there is a heavy dusting of snow. It stopped snowing in the late of morning. The temperature is now at -1.5 °C , the windchill is at -4.9 °C , the apparent temperature is -5.2 °C and the dew point is -2.3 °C .
